Stayed Oct 22, 2025The apartment and location were perfect for my stay in Dubuque! Ken's directions to find the apartment were spot on and everything matched the listing. I would stay here again!

Stayed Oct 6, 2025Didnt get correct wifi password until next day. Noisy in adjoining units. Had to park a block away. We are seniors, so long 1/2 block walk for us. Parking was not convenient for us, but probably ok for younger persons. I probably didnt communicate effectively. Everything we needed was included, but shower too slick for my husband.

Stayed Sep 9, 2025Clean and right in the heart of downtown Dubuque, IA. Ken was very hospitable and quick to see that we had everything we needed. We stayed for a quick overnight stay so we didn’t use most of the amenities but the kitchen looked well stocked.

Stayed Sep 3, 2025We stayed for 5 nights. Perfectly adequate and clean 1 bedroom apartment. The kitchen seemed great but we never cooked the entire visit, so can't comment on any of the appliances, other than the huge fridge. It's an old (125 years) house but everything was in good repair. Laundry is in a separate unit but is very close, and there are 4 washers and 4 dryers so lots of capacity. Parking is in a lot across the alley in the back. This place is 2 doors down from a beer and pizza place that has live music sometimes, and at least a dozen other restaurants and bars are within walking distance. Please note that as is common in small cities, many close earlier than you'd expect or are closed on certain days of the week. The couple of times we reached out to Ken he was easy to get a hold of and seems to live on-site, because we saw him several times working in the gardens. All in all it was a nice place to stay. We were surprised to find the entire block closed off for a large farmer's market when we woke up Saturday morning. Thanks Ken.

Stayed Jul 14, 2025Excellent location to downtown stores and activities along the river. Safe. Unit in good shape with dated furnishing. But, very comfy and homey. Everything you need and plenty of HOT water. Bring your own pillow. Mine was too hard foam and large. I like small flat. So that is my problem. Tried to book the next week but no vacancy. Darn!

Stayed Jul 18, 2025Comfortable bed and clean accommodations. Air conditioning was excellent. The only coffee in supply for the Keurig was decaffeinated! Hopefully the next guest gets the good stuff.

Stayed May 23, 2025This is our second time staying at Ken's place. In the Millwork District, steps away from the Saturday morning farmers market, a few blocks from a brewery, a craft bar a few doors away, an indie bookstore and El May restaurant a short walk. (great food and atmosphere) Ken's place is super clean, quiet and huge! He has a great restaurant around the corner. We will be back!

Stayed May 12, 2025Loved the place, very good location and it was wonderful to get up and walk over to Jitterz Coffee Shop. My only comment is the king size bed has square memory foam pillows that were incredibly uncomfortable. We ended up changing our pillow cases to the decor pillows instead and it was much better. Overall a very lovely experience!

Stayed Apr 11, 2025Perfect location to Dubuque's Millwork Districts many shops, bars and restaurants. Private entrance to a spacious rental unit. Large kitchen with Keurig coffee maker. Many kitchen supplies although we just had morning coffee and meals out. Large lounge area with t.v. and even larger bedroom with the most comfortable king size bed. Location was quiet and rental owner Ken always available. We really enjoyed this location and so would you.

Stayed Aug 8, 2024Check in info and Wi-Fi info was not correct but owner was easy to communicate with and helpful. Living room furniture needs foot stools or hassocks. Bedroom furniture was excellent. Very comfortable. Best location with craft brewery next door and Saturday fresh market right on Iowa street! We could get coffee in our Jammie’s!!

Stayed May 24, 2024I really enjoyed this property. The location was very walkable -a brewery a few doors down, cool indie bookstore and several coffee shops and El May restaurant the next block up was the best meal I have ever had. The Farmer's market on Saturday's (May-Oct) is right in front of the apartment. The apartment was quiet , spacious and very clean. With a comfortable bed. Short walk to the library. About a 5-10 minute drive to the Riverwalk and the Mississippi River Museum. Ken is a very nice host. Will certainly return.
