Stayed Nov 25, 2024If you are looking for peace and quiet after a hectic day of sightseeing, this could be your place! It is overlooking greenery. A car is required since it is on the upper side of a hill. The host was very gracious and friendly. There are many steps down into the unit. It was a beautiful yard filled with plants and greenery. Although it was late November and cold, there were still roses on some of the bushes. The kitchen was well furnished with a market within a couple of miles. I would not recommend this unit to people with mobility problems but somehow, with my bad knees I managed! It’s within a couple of miles to Heidelberg and within an hour or two drive to Rothenberg, Strasbourg, Mannheim and other points of interest both in neighboring France or Germany.

Stayed May 18, 2023The unit looks out over a beautiful garden. The rental had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was very comfortable. Host was gracious and even made us reservations at a local restaurant for the celebration of our anniversary. This rental is in a very nice neighborhood.

Stayed Dec 6, 2021What a gorgeous home! It’s nestled right in one of the mountains surrounding Heidelberg. Quiet, peaceful, and perfectly located ? The space was cozy and charming and had everything we needed. We loved looking out into the garden while sipping coffee in the morning (we’ll need to return in order to see everything in peak bloom one day ???). Ursula was an incredible host, super kind and accommodating ? We enjoyed the homemade orange marmalade and quince jam that she gifted us (all from produce grown in her own garden!). I cannot recommend this place enough. We absolutely loved it! ❤️

Stayed Jul 10, 2017The spectacular garden is what first drew us to this fabulous apartment in Heidelberg, happy to say the unit was even better in person. We found fresh flowers in the apartment and anything a traveler could possible need in the kitchen an bath. The location was ideal because it was a short 15 minute walk to the Heidelberg Castle where we spent a good half day. The location is also a short (albeit steep) walk to the train station and buses run often. Ursula and Rolf provided exceptional information regarding the local attractions but they really helped us out after my girlfriend lost her passport in Heidelberg. We did not notice until we had left the city for Austria. Rolf and Ursula took the time to pick up the lost passport at a local municipality and sent it overnight to our hotel in Vienna. Saved us a lot of time and hassle.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969My husband and I stayed here for 5 days in mid-September which was unfortunately chilly and wet. The apartment is quite comfortable and well-equipped and has a beautiful setting. The photographs are very accurate and reflect a gorgeous big garden that is often full of birds. We were sad that our weather was just too unpleasant to be able to sit outside in the various lovely garden alcoves. The whole back of the apartment is large glass windows though and we were still able to enjoy the view. There is a parking spot right off the road so we were able to easily park. The house is located on the steep side of one of the large hills rising out of the Neckar valley. The road up is extremely winding and narrow and I would highly recommend having a Garmin as it is quite a maze of tiny roads. Some of the reviews talk about walking to restaurants but despite being active walkers, we were reluctant to try walking to the only one we found up on the hill. The streets are not lighted and with the narrowness, it didn't seem sensible to us. We did cook in the apartment several nights and wound our way downtown the others. Parking can be a problem in Heidelberg but we were lucky and found places to park quite easily. The owner was very nice and provided fresh flowers in the apartment when we arrived. We really did enjoy this apartment and I expect that in the spring and summer it would be especially pleasant!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We have spend 5 lovely days in this very nice and extremly clean apartment with his even beautiful garden. We enjoying every morning our breakfast in the beautiful and sunny garden. The apartment is situated in a lovely and quiet residential area from Heidelberg and was accurate regarding the descripton but even better than pictured, also the garden was very big, sunny and privat. Everthing what you need for a very comfertable stay find you in the apartment. Ursula the owner, welcomed us upon arrival with a bright, warm smile and gave us a tour of the apartment which included a gorges bouquet of fresh flowers! Needles to say we will be back

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We enjoyed our short stay with Ursula and Rolf. The pictures capture the place well but it's much better than what is depicted in the photo's. A delightful settiing, in a quiet residential area which is a 30 minute walk to the castle and funicular railway. Steep hills on the way back, very challenging indeed !!! but the views make it worthwhile with many outdoor restaurants serving local food and a shoppers paradise with both modern and quaint old town contrast to choose from. Plenty of sightseeing to do in Heidelberg we would love to return. The apartment is immaculate, comfy bed, great shower simply perfect for us. Thank you for all your help Ursula during our stay you were wonderful :)
