This 1BR apt is centrally located for great hiking, dining, and golfing. Ravens' Perch sits atop our detached 2-car garage, with its own enclosed entrance and outside parking spaces. The apartment is pet-friendly and a standard pet fee of $50 is initiated when you check that you are bringing a pet when booking.

There are stairs leading up to the apartment, so guests must be comfortable and able to climb. The apartment has a studio feel, but does have a separate bedroom for privacy. There is a queen bed in the bedroom, and a futon in the living room. Wifi allows for Amazon and Apple tv streaming. The kitchen space is small, but well equipped for most needs, including an oven. The bathroom has a shower and a washer/dryer unit. The unit is cooled/heated by a heat pump, so there is air conditioning available in the warmer months.

There is a (very) small side yard space for your use only, with a charcoal grill and propane fire pit. We have two river kayaks (only safe for freshwater) that you are welcome to borrow, but you must have means of transporting them (we do have foam supports and straps for your rack if need be).

The location is great, being a short (~8 min) bike ride to Acadia National Park's network of carriage paths, and an easy walk to town (~10-15 mins) so you can avoid parking fees. The Island Explorer passes right by the property, which will take you all over the island for free. There is a local seafood shop (Parson's) 4 doors down that is great for cooking at home, and Kebo Golf Course is practically next door.

These accommodations were comfortable and cozy. It was evident that the Jen and Gordon put a lot of thought and heart in creating this space. The apartment is centrally located so you are in walking distance of the village green and all it has to offer. Jen was very responsive to our questions and needs. This is a 5 star rental. Highly recommended.

Such a well stocked comfortable place in a great location. Easy to walk to town or jump on the Island Explorer. A half block to grab fresh seafood and bring it back to cook. Excellent communication with host.

We couldn’t have had a better experience! The apartment is clean and felt like home! It was fully stocked with kitchen tools, spices, bathroom and laundry necessities, as well as dog blankets, toys and bowls which we really appreciated for our little guy! So many cute details and it was the perfect place to relax after a long day of hiking/exploring! Great location to downtown Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. We loved it, will be back in the future!

Everything was amazing. Jen is a wonderful hostess and thought of everything we could possibly need in the apartment. She gave us great suggestions for things to do, including where to buy fresh seafood to cook ourselves and great hikes where the dog could come off leash for a time. Jen was always available but respected our privacy. The apartment was immaculate and convenient to the village center. I would definitely stay there again!

Took a roadtrip to Maine with my son and his dog. Although my son had visited previously, this was my first visit to Maine, and my first time using VRBO. The rental was lovely, and the location was excellent. Close proximity to both Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor Village. Rental was a one bedroom/one bath, with futon in the common area. The owners thought of everything - fully equipped kitchen & bath (including towels) pet supplies. It was early in the season, so easy to find parking in the Village. I understand it gets pretty crowded once the tourist season ramps up, so location is an advantage, since rental is walking distance to the Village. All in all, this was an enjoyable stay.

The Perch rocked it as a base camp for the two of us. So inviting, great location, and well thought out by Jen. When we wished we had brought a few things, like hot cocoa or a cooler bag, we simply looked around and discovered how prepared our hosts were even when we failed. Sweet Acadia stay!

My girlfriend and I (and dog) enjoyed our stay at the “Raven’s Perch”. Everything was as advertised - clean, very well equipped and a great location for accessing downtown Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park and Mt. Desert Island. Our host, Jen, was very responsive. I would highly recommend this property!

We absolutely loved our time at the Raven's Perch. Our host Jen created such a comfortable, well decorated space with lots of thoughtful amenities that were greatly appreciated. Really close to Cadillac Mt entrance and the proximity to the center of Bar Harbor was perfect - walkable for most or a very short drive. We spent a lot of time outside, but were always very happy to come back to the Perch where we felt right at home. :-)

Raven’s Perch in Bar Harbor exceeded all expectations! As listed the space is only 1 mile to downtown and easily accessible to all Acadia National Park has to offer. Jen has done a terrific job furnishing the 2nd floor space with everything needed be it for a short or extended stay. The accommodation is new, fresh, appealing and quite comfortable. Jen was a wonderful, personable host who offered many options for places to see and things to do during our 3nite stay. Recommend the Bar Harbor Inn for a relaxing late lunch overlooking the beautiful Harbor, the Ocean Trail hike in Acadia and Beals Lobster Pier in Southwest Harbor for lobsters of any size, blackened scallops and a nice selection of wine and draft beers. This was our first visit to Bar Harbor and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

This was the perfect location, close to the town of Bar Harbor and the entrance to Acadia. It was only a 5-minute drive to the Cadillac mountain entrance which was great for watching the sunrise at the summit. Bar Harbor was a short drive (or a 15-20 minute walk). The space was very comfortable and was a great place to relax after long days of hiking. It was very quiet throughout our stay and a great home base for exploring Acadia.
