Located at Pilgrim Park, the retreat center has a full ten bedrooms each with two beds and a full sized bathroom. Attached to the bedroom wing is our large meeting space with an attached chapel. Both spaces can be setup with tables and chairs or with lobby style furniture, depending on the needs of the renter. The lower level of the center has a kitchenette with two refrigerators, sink, toaster oven, microwave and plenty of tables and chairs.
Pilgrim Park Camp and Conference Center sits on a 150 acre plot and is just 15 minutes off of interstate 80 in a secluded and wooded valley. We encourage all our customers to take time to walk our paths and trail, enjoy fishing in our creek or pond, or just relax on one of our decks and enjoy the peace and quiet. The park is just 25 minutes from Starved Rock State Park and 5 minutes from the Hennepin Canal State Parkway, both of which provide great opportunities for easy outings.
great!
This property is better than described. Great for a family reunion with lots of people. The bedrooms are basic but had en-suite bathrooms which was a big plus for a large family gathering. Lots of space in the shared indoor areas and lots to do in the outdoor areas. The hosts were very responsive and friendly. Despite listing the portion of the property we rented as not having a stove, there was a stove on site for use which was great given we prepared all of our own meals. The pool was a big hit with the kids as was the great outdoors around the site. Would definitely rent again
Pictures don't do it justice. It was perfect for our large family of 22, ages from 4 - 74. We would go back, if the opportunity presents itself again. Matt and Mitch were great hosts.
We stayed at the property with our extended family of 42 people, the property was perfect for a large family gathering and we even had extra room! We loved that each family had our own room/bathroom but plenty of shared space to eat meals, play games and socialize. We had the property to ourselves the 3 nights we were there, internet is spotty but it was nice to unplug and enjoy the trails, creeks, pool, fishing, archery and bonfires. We didn't have enough time to enjoy all of the activities available but it was one of the best family reunions we had! We found 2 restaurants that delivered to the property and had dinners catered from there as well as picked up a couple of meals in town and heated up premade dishes there (there was not a full kitchen available but enough to cook as much as you'd like. We it made it easier and decided to order in most meals and not to cook!). Matt and the other staff were very helpful and responsive while we were there, they refilled coolers with ice everyday and took trash out for us. We are hoping we can come back again next year :)
I had a God time with my family here.
We loved the facility itself, which has plenty of space for 7 kids to play in. They enjoyed the pool a lot, and fishing in the pond. Matt gave 5 of them archery lessons, which they thought was super neat.
