Oceanfront 1BR Suite w/Direct Beach View & Balcony - Ocean Drive - South Beach

The balcony is on the side and the park is between the location and the beach. The coffee pot is broken and filthy, the trash was never removed as promised, towels were replaced once. The dates were the 16th to 21st, not 15 to 20. Roof top pool was really nice and we actually liked the craziness of South Beach.

Great location! Clean and nice place. Everyone was very accommodating. We had a great stay!

Checked in. Room not as pictured. Pictures showed one large area. Actually had separate bedroom and kitchen in separate location. Debris on kitchen cabinets and sand still on the floor. Next morning, unable to use handheld in the shower, found heavy mold behind bathtub. We could not stay a second night. Offered 100 refund. But we never received it.

Size of property was great for 5 people.Only 3 glasses and cups were supplied. Air conditioning not the strongest, bedroom barely had any air conditioning. Floor was poorly mopped and swiped. No drawers to unpack. Bare minimals.

the air conditioning system is terrible, we asked the host for a portable air conditioner, he didn't even bother to solve it

This property is in an EXCELLENT location on South Beach! Right across from the beach and right on Ocean Drive. You can walk to anywhere, Versace Mansion is practically next door and so many great places to eat and bars to visit. I had 3 other friends with me and the two who slept on the couches felt comfortable for not being in a bed. This location is right above the Palace bar and the balcony faces the restaurant so you have a pretty good view of the shows that happen everyday. The 4 days we were there the bar closed at midnight so it really wasn’t raging all night long like some of these reviews mentioned. It’s truly a great location to be, everything is walking distance. The only 2 things that made this not a 5 star is the sink in the bathroom would constantly fill and not drain and it was yucky. We had to plunge it and that helped a little but not very well. The other was that the chain lock on the front door to lock the front is broken and as young women in their 20s we would’ve like that extra safety measure but other than these 2 things we absolutely loved our stay here and would for sure book here again in the future!

Owner did not specify that rental was right above an open air club that was open until 2 am. We did not check in until 7:30 pm and music was loud already by then. One of the speakers for the club was mounted right by our balcony on 2nd floor. It was misrepresented that room was inside building. Check in lobby is around corner and room is on strip in alleyway. I contacted the owner at 10 pm upset about noise and he was not understanding or responsive at all. The music got even louder and did not get quiet. We could not sleep at all. We could not connect to Wi-Fi network listed. And our room keys given to us originally were not the right ones. I feel that this rental was terribly misrepresented and had to move and stay in another place for the rest of our visit after horrible night.

The property photographer did a great job. One TV didn't work. It is noisy as advertised. Not too bad for us because the hurricane was blowing by bringing rain and putting a damper on the parties in the bar below. Other than the bar below the location was great. Needs a wardrobe in the bedroom. Overall I'm happy with the stay.

The property manager says this is one of his most popular units, and I believe him because it is well-used and run down. We were unhappy with it when we arrived and decided not to stay after we returned from dinner that evening. Fortunately, we live in another part of Florida so we could turn around and drive home; since it was Christmas week other hotels in the area were fully booked. I suggest that VRBO require that all rentals have updated photos at least yearly so that renters have a better idea what they are getting when they book. I believe the photos on the site are probably about 10 years old. If you are planning just to have a place to crash in summer after a day at the beach, this unit might be ok, but neither me nor my adult children were willing to stay here for our Christmas vacation, so we left..
