Peaceful place to spend weekend in Hawaii
The decor was unique. I liked the muffins and yogurt in the room.
Very nice host. With good Tuk Tuk Truck dinner recommendation.
Rooms are even nicer than the picture! Private rooms, with your own bathrooms, include a microwave and mini fridge and coffee maker and coffee. Shared court yard with HOT TUB and water cooler. Very thoughtful set up! The owner and his family are friendly but respect your privacy. An easy favorite and unforgettable stay!!!
Quiet, quaint and a perfect getaway. Our room had everything we needed. We brought food to grill for dinner. Our room had a private dining area via a slider to a patio. Jade Oasis is convenient to Volcanoes National Park. We hiked the park during the day, checked in at 4pm, rested, ate dinner, and went back to the park to observe the Kilauea glow. We live on the west side of the island an plan to be back with friends. The rooms around the court yard make a perfect place to come with friends.
Owner/manager was very friendly. Hotel was hard to find. Parking was bad. Room and bedding smelled causing pajamas to smell. Room was hot. Television didn’t work. WiFi didn’t work. Close to Volcano National Park.
Nice location near Volcano village. Very welcoming owners and good communication. Very nice room around a courtyard with hot tub. Room had many amenities.
National Park enthusiasts…. Stop scrolling and book this place! You are basically in the park for a fraction of the cost. It’s a perfect base camp to explore Hawaii volcanos. Mahalo for a lovely stay, John and Joy!
Very nice. Hosts truly care about your needs and are very helpful and most accommodating.
We loved this place. John was very nice and easy to communicate with. The room was small and not really any place for us to put our laptops. We were surrounded by the rainforest literally outside your porch door. He had a few extras that made our stay like home - coffee, local fruits, and yogurt in the mini fridge. The new hot tub was really nice. It was luxurious in the middle of the courtyard of rooms.
The hospitality of the host in providing fresh fruit, yogurt and drinks was great. The location was perfect to visit the Volcano National Park, the black sand beach of Punalu'u, the Ka'u Coffee Plantation and the many wonderful hikes. We saw the sea turtles, nene, birds and endemic flowers and plants on our hikes. The restaurants in Volcano Village were very close. We had a great time.
We stayed here one night so we could visit the volcano park. This place is very close and easy to find. John is a great host. The room was clean and had everything we wanted. Very good time.
Excellent location with very attentive and thoughtful host. The room was a bit musty and needed to be aired out, but otherwise no complaints
The rental is cute, quiet, and homey. John was a fabulous host. We had a simple mix up with the check in process that was easily and quickly fixed by John. I wish we could have stayed longer!
The property is a great location for visiting the park. It is a funny place with the lights and decoration and appeared exactly as described. Amenities in the room were generous with coffee, yogurt, muffins, fruit and dishes and glasses if you needed them. The outdoor patio is nice. It was comfortable and served our needs.
John and Jade are lovely people who aim to please. The property is nestled within the rain forest within a couple of miles of Volcano National Park. Easy access from the main Highway. A good place to retreat..lay your head after hiking or adventuring for the day. A 70's decor.. yummy fresh banana muffins, papaya and Island tangerines with lovely yogurt and fresh water bottles left in the fridge. I appreciate the sincere aloha. Thank you John and Jade
Wonderful location right outside of the national park. Perfect for the trip back in after dark. Host was wonderful, super friendly, and available. Everything was where and when we needed it. The bonus of muffins, coffee, yogurt, water and dish/silverware was a wonderful bonus. Back porch had nice jungle views, place was clean and comfy. Wonderful place!
Great space, hosts and ambiance! Banana muffins and fruit, water and jacuzzi a bonus. It was clean, quaint and convenient to Volcano National Park. Renting a room makes it much more cost efficient for inter island travel.
The property was basically in a rainforest the neighbors where separated by a single wall. What made the stay was John’s attention to detail and the check in and check out process. Location is great for the volcano area. We would stay there again.
John was a great host, beds were comfy and having the hot tub on site was lovely.
We planned to visit Volcano National park during the day and then go back after dark to see Mt Kilauea’s lava flow. We needed a place to spend the night and John’s property was perfect. Minutes away from the park. Our room was beautifully decorated and the fresh muffins, coffee and yogurt in the fridge were a nice touch. Each room has a private “jungle” view with a patio table and chairs. We didn’t get a chance to use the hot tub but it looked inviting. We definitely enjoyed our stay and highly recommend John’s property Jade Oasis.
We absolutely enjoyed this stay. Very short drive to the Volcano National Park. Went in multiple times to see the lava. Visited the local winery. Spent time talking with John the owner. Wonderful stay! Absolutely enjoyed the muffins and fruit left in the room for our arrival!!
John was very nice and friendly. He made sure we knew how to operate the jacuzzi. The room was very clean. There was coffee maker, mini fridge, and microwave. They also had a large gallons jug of water available to fill your container. There’s a grill available to cook on. It was a quick drive to see the volcano. We enjoyed our stay at John’s place.
Nice spot. Jacuzzi was great. Owner was dealing with some personal issues so check-in and interaction was limited. The cleaning people could be a little more detail oriented. Was clean just not real clean. Overall good
