We just stayed over night one night. Cool old building on the edge of town across the street from the river. Room was small. Bathroom was large. Bed was comfy. Small tv with dvd player and about 2 dozen dvds to choose from. We actually never saw or spoke to a person thru booking check in or check out so I guess that’s good we didn’t need anything. Walking distance to a small bakery and other shops. If it’s cold out the wind whips down the street so be prepared for that. All in a not a bad thing to say about the room.
Thank you! Room was charming with nice touches- didn’t spend time in the patio this weekend due to rain, but we will be back!
Our stay at Blue Door Inn was absolutely amazing! Nicole made our check in perfect, the room is beautiful, bathroom with robes was so lush & lovely! The train town of Alma is lively with trains running the Mississippi River, that was so sun to watch! (Blue Door even supplied us with earplugs!) but trains didn't bother us at all! Fire pit with wood in a lovely little garden was super fun! & Access to a beautiful kitchen supplied with everything, & a beautiful sitting area, would be perfect for our next stay, which will definitely be a longer stay! Nicole even left me & my Mom a card & flowers for us, due to our stay there was a mom daughter trip after loosing my dad after a long illness. this was our 1st trip in years, & Blue Door Inn made us have a perfect, fun & comfortable place to stay! Will definitely be back!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Blue Door Inn, in all its charm and comfort. We appreciated the last minute room change, as it afforded a little extra lounging space. The kitchen was well equipped and we certainly took advantage of it! Although the train whistle woke us up several times a night, it added to the ambience and gave us a new appreciation for the railroad system and how dependent we are on it! Thank you for a great stay; we will definitely recommend The Blue Door Inn for others to enjoy!
Nicole was easy to work with and everything was super easy at check in. I would definitely stay again.
It was so delightful, unique items in each corner. The thoughtfulness was amazing, robes in the room. The kitchen was fully stocked, even with cookie cutters. Definitely want to return.
Stayed overnight to celebrate our anniversary. The room was just right for our needs. Lovely touches in the room, robes, antique accessories etc. the outside garden was beautiful and peaceful. Priced right too. Would highly recommend.
