Lake Elmo, Minnesota
Welcome to Whippletree!
You'll stay in the main lower level of the original farmhouse with access to nature trails on this working farm.
The house has two bedrooms, full kitchen, full bathroom, living room and diningroom. Being built in 1900, it's got some rough edges here and there, though it is clean and comfortable.
You'll have access to the best of both worlds: natural beauty of woods and meadows, and quick access to St. Paul (20 minutes), Stillwater (10 minutes) and all the attractions that the Twin Cities have to offer.
The farm often has some level of activity going on, you will see other people and the upper unit of the house is also rented, but the lower unit apartment is a private space just for you.
This is our sixth-generation family farm, and while it's more of a hobby farm now, it has been in continuous agricultural production since 1869! We consider this our sanctuary and enjoy sharing it with others looking for a place of retreat to connect with the natural world.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on this lovely farm. Fabulous hosts- excellent communication and thoughtfulness. Comfortable beds and furniture. Well stocked kitchen with all the essentials. Peter went the extra mile to make our stay exceptional. We are already booked to stay here again. Grateful for this super cozy and convenient spot near St. Paul.
Beautiful property with a fantastic house. They thought of every amenity and more. Great beds, high end paper products, wonderful kitchen with ice for drinks, cream and sugar for coffee and a fancy hot water pot- nice soaps and toiletries too. Happy they provided extra charging cords and a Sonos system. We enjoyed the cozy living space, soft blankets and the gorgeous property for a morning hike. Definitely worth more than we paid - hope to stay again sometime.
