Frankfort, Kentucky
The Crockett House is less than ten minutes from downtown Frankfort, many restaurants and several shopping centers. It is five minutes from I-64 and makes a perfect rendezvous spot for family or friends. Surrounded by 43 acres of pasture and woodlands, the property makes a peaceful retreat. From the large screen porch, one can listen to nearby Armstrong Creek and watch deer and turkey move in and out of the woods. Parts of the two-story frontier home were built in 1825. It retains much of its original woodwork, including the staircase and board and batten doors. The entire house was tastefully remodeled in 2008.

We were in town for a wedding. The house and property are wonderful. Five Stars across the board!
This is a great base for exploring the bourbon trail. Wonderful hosts, great property, all the comforts of home and them some! Thank you to the hosts for a wonderful stay!
Our family “girls weekend” was so enjoyable in this large rustic farmhouse. All the modern amenities plus the proximity to restaurants and local attractions, and I can honestly say we didn’t want for anything. The kitchen was adequate( for what little cooking we did ) and the dining room is a great size for family meals and game nights. We also built a small fire down by the creek one evening. To a very relaxing spot and we all agreed we enjoyed it very much! Restaurant recommendations by hosts and prior guests were top notch and we made stops at a local orchard and a Distillery or two. Plenty to see and do in the area.
Great historical house! Close to the distilleries. Lots of space to spread out. Good size kitchen - there's even a cast iron skillet!
The house and property were perfect for four old friends to visit and catch up. Convenient to distilleries and golf courses. We enjoyed the private setting but very near anything one would need.
Beautiful property with privacy and comfortable home. Close to restaurants, kayaking, fishing and distilleries.
Loved this house and the setting, very peaceful and lots of acreage. Trails, fire ring by the creek, and the house was large and very comfortable. The Bourbon trail is nearby, which we took advantage of. Great 50 year reunion for me and two best High School friends.
Beautifully restored homestead and lovely grounds. Small brook running through property. Spent lots of time outside and on screened in porch. Visited many bourbon distilleries nearby as well as Claiborne Farms and took a boot tour on the Kentucky River. Very relaxing time. Saw many deer in early morning and late evening. Frankfort is the best location for visiting the Bourbon Trail.
Nice quiet place to stay. Close to all the things you want to do in Frankfort.
Truly felt like home. Entire experience was wonderful.
Great place to stay. Do need to pay attention to gps, google will navigate to subdivision next door.
Family and I made the most out of the spacious home and large property.
Beautiful house with very nice property. Great place to stay to enjoy the derby, bourbon trail, and horse farm.
Historic home that proved suitable to our group of 7. We didn't do any cooking so we can't comment on the kitchen equipment, but has ample space and met our needs for the week.
great relaxing place to meet our daughter from Atlanta.
This house is the perfect place to plan a bourbon trail trip around. It’s a beautiful lot that is great to relax and enjoy nature after a day on the bourbon trail. The host is also great to communicate with if you have any questions throughout your stay.
In the woods and tucked away but still near town. I would recommend to anyone going to the area.
Everything was just as we expected! Owner was easy to communicate with.
So much more comfortable than multiple hotel rooms to accommodate a family of 5 adults! Loved the peace and quiet of the property.
If you are looking for glitz and glamor this is not your place, but if you are in for a peaceful atmosphere and love old houses, this is your place. Would love to have a few more comfy chairs in the living room for all to sit on when you have a larger party
My friends & I have camped many places. This is the first time we could smoke cigars around a campfire by a babbling brook. Nice house & amenities.
Very clean and great location!
We enjoyed our stay! Perfect location for touring the surrounding area. The house was comfortable and the property was quiet!
My Father in Law and my brother in laws stayed here while we did a quick bourbon trail tour. It was a great home base. Very quiet and a great place to relax during the evenings.
Great stay at a nice secluded historic property. Perfect for our trip to various distilleries and historic sites in central Kentucky. Will definitely consider staying here again in the future.
Very nice and well kept house we really enjoyed our stay! It was within a good distance from many of them out on trail distilleries
Great location. Down a gravel road to this charming farm house and quiet setting. Close to stores and distilleries.
Had a wonderful time at the Crocket house while in town touring the local distilleries. Property was as described. Enjoyed relaxing in the screened in porch each evening. Will definitely stay here next time we visit.
Great location for enjoying many distillers on the Bourbon Trail. The house was cozy, with all the amenities provided. The hosts were very accommodating, and quick to respond to questions. Definitely would stay there again!
