Winchester, Virginia
Welcome to our home in a quaint country village, only 90 minutes west of Washington, DC. Our cottage is the best of both worlds, historic charm and loads of character with all modern updates. The kitchen is well appointed and ready for you to create great meals to enjoy on our two porches. Master bedroom is en suite with double sinks. Relax on the porch swing listening to the sounds of the countryside. Bring the kids -they'll love the trundle beds. Veteran owned property.
The space
Our home has a beautiful, bright kitchen with some surprises a cook will love. It spills to a side porch ample in size for entertaining, dining, chatting, and watching the deer play. A dedicated dining room inside and large living room with gas logs in the fireplace round out downstairs. As you enjoy walking up the beautiful angled staircase, the original floors grab your attention. The place resonates the charm of old...beautiful doors and knobs, a pocket door, and sloped floors and windows. The master suite includes a queen sized bed and desk for Zoom calls. The second bedroom has a queen bed and a desk. The third bedroom is bright and cheery with two twin beds which both have trundles for a sleepover! The laundry stack is right outside the hall bath for quick cleanup. The outdoor space is yours to explore (from afar)- two barns, a swing, a zip line, bunnies, deer, turkeys, groundhogs- who knows what you'll see!
Guests will have the entire home and 2 acres to themselves to explore.
The property is nestled right off the road, we pulled in and were instantly transported back in time. A fireplace in the living room and 2 seating decks accommodated all our family. We loved staying here and look forward to staying again.
Loved this house - so historic, beautifully updated! We stayed here for a family reunion weekend and had a great time! Fire pit and zip line were big hits. Host was very helpful and responsive. Definitely recommend!
We had a wonderful stay at this old farmhouse. It has such character and charm! The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook. My young kids (3 and 5) had a blast running around the yard, playing on the zip line and reading all the books provided. We traveled back and forth between Winchester many times and it was a quick and beautiful 12 minute drive. The host was SUPER responsive and answered any questions we had in a timely manner. It was overall a great experience!
Very clean and comfortable. The house is outside of the city, so away from the action which is what we like. Great place for a family stay. We enjoyed the old farmhouse feel with the modern kitchen and bathrooms. Very comfy beds and roomy bathrooms. Thanks!
We had a great time at the home over New Year’s weekend. The house is roomy enough for two families and has a lot of character. It’s close to grocery stores, etc but gives the feeling of being in a private, secluded place.
Great place
I am so happy to have found this house to stay. My daughter loved the big yard and zip line. The house is perfect old Winchester charm with updated amenities. It is close to everything but out of town enough to enjoy privacy and beautiful views. Heather was amazing through our stay and always willing to answer any questions. I will be returning and will only stay here.
