Stayed Jul 29, 2023We enjoyed our stay in this lovely house very much. With a great view, not to far from Cotignac, 20 minutes walk, superb swimmingpool and good beds. It was great!

Stayed May 26, 2018The house is charming, simple, rustic, and in a great location, 2km from the village and with an outstanding view. It's comfortable and well equipped and the only minor issue is that there wasn't a detailed instruction book explaining how everything worked. There were a few notes on walls and manuals for the dishwasher and washing machine, etc, but those were mostly all in French. Our French is passable, but not that good! The pool is large and inviting and there is plenty of outdoor space. The pool man comes once a week, but -- and this is our only other quibble -- because we were the first renters of the summer and it had been a very rainy Spring, everything was very overgrown. By the time we left after our four week stay, the grass near the pool was as high as the table and chairs on it! Finally, and most importantly (and why I'm giving this stay a 5-star review), when we arrived we had a big problem due to a misunderstanding with the owners. While there was only two of us arriving, we were expecting a guest or two to stay a few nights in the separate guest suite at the bottom of the house. But when we arrived, this was not usable because it was being repaired and repainted. So effectively we had a 2BR, 1BA rental, not the 3BR, 2BA we were expecting, and as advertised. However, when we contacted the owners, who live in Belgium, the matter was resolved by them not only getting the guest room/bathroom finished within 48 hours, but also giving us an extremely generous discount, which was promptly refunded to our VRBO account. They responded with decency, integrity, and class, which meant a lot to us. Thank you, Pierre and Isabel. And we loved your home in Cotignac!
