Unique 1950's Grain Silo converted over the past year into this very cool vacation rental. Owned by a farmer in St. Ignatius & transported here. It's Quiet location next to Blaine creek, a wild life haven. My Grain Bin lies in the beautiful valley east of Kalispell at the base of the Swan Mountain Range. You will be impressed by the uniqueness of the interior style, and never feel like you are staying in a grain bin. I had a vision of how it would turn out and the vision came true. Breath taking sunrises and sunsets can be seen from this location. Your home away from home is conveniently located between all the major attractions that the area has to offer. Minutes to Bigfork, a small eclectic town at the north end of Flathead Lake and 30 minutes to Glacier National Park with its outstanding vistas. The towns of Whitefish and Kalispell, with their many shops and restaurants, are also nearby.
What an incredibly special place with great open space views with Mountains in the background and a completely unique concept for a place to stay. The attention to detail in every aspect, from design and craftsmanship to amenities for the stay, nothing has been overlooked. We can’t wait to come back!
Loved the Silo small but complete accommodations in a safe, quiet, peaceful location, and just the away from the normal places to stay.
Very nice place, full of character. We really enjoyed our stay there. And on our way out we were able to meet the friendly dogs and horses.
The silo was a unique place. Steve was a great host and did a wonderful job building the silo apartment. We especially liked the deck off the loft that faces East to watch the sunset each evening. It made a great home base that was only about 30 minutes from the park entrance. We also enjoyed an evening stroll to feed carrots to the horses each evening after a day of hiking. The apartment was clean and the bed was comfortable.
Staying at the silo was such a cool experience! Steve is very accommodating & responded promptly to any questions we had. The Silo is in a great location as well. It's roughly 30 mins from the West Entrance to Glacier National Park. The East entrance to Glacier is a little further (roughly 1 hr 30 mins away), but it's well worth the drive out there. Our favorite restaurant was Tupelo Grille. You won't be disappointed staying at the Honey Silo!!
Driving up to the silo with the white lights surrounding the front was as if you were in a fairy tale. I took a short video from the outside to the inside, up the spiral staircase, into the loft bedroom and onto the balcony. Since I posted my video on FB, I have received over 350 views and people requesting how they can reserve this unique stay! My friend and I skipped breakfast with 12 of my friends just to be able to relax and have coffee on the patio. We’re DEFINITELY coming back ❤️
Steve is a great host and what he has done with this silo is spectacular. The views are perfect : deer, pheasants, beautiful mountains…thank you very much!
We loved the silo and the craftsmanship that went into it. The sunrise and sunsets were absolutely beautiful and the mountains were divine!!
The silo was an amazing time! The deer, the views and the silo itself was so cool!
Loved staying here. Close to Glacier. Beautiful views. Loved the horses.
We loved this little property. It's a tiny oasis. It was incredibly hot the days we were there and the little air conditioner kept things perfectly comfortable. It's pretty much right in the middle between Kalispell and Big Fork.
Beautiful unique silo. Great set up and really enjoyed our stay.
