House is a lovely historic home in a great location a short drive from Rhinebeck and Red Hook. Lots of room for my group of friends to hang out, eat together & reconnect. The setting was particularly gorgeous in the fall.
We have stayed at this property twice now and I can't recommend it highly enough if you're looking for someplace special to stay in the Hudson Valley. Beautiful inside and out. Great floor plan, the kitchen and adjoining screened-in porch were everyone's favorite spot to hang out. The host for this property goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and was so accommodating! No hesitation to give 5 stars across the board.
The Adirondack Adventure house is exactly what it sounds like! A beautiful home on stunning property which lends itself to adventures in the Adirondack Mountains!
Our family of 3 generations had a great time...swimming. climbing treehouse, picking flowers, cooking on wolf stove, enjoying spacious screen porch, and beautiful views. Owner is very responsive. All in all, recommend highly!
Loved the location of the home and the cozy fires we enjoyed after a day of walking around the Dutchess Cty fairgrounds. The town if Rhinebeck is adorable and Terrapin - the restaurant - was excellent. The Culinary Institue of America was a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT! Our hostess was very accessible by text with the few questions we had. The outdoor property is gorgeous...we hit it at the peak foliage season! The house is quirky, but very comfortable with lots of space. We were 6 women. The Vulcan stove & SubZero refrigerator were great!
Great property for swimming, fishing, lounging, cooking and relaxing while close to Red Hook, Rhinebeck and other fun towns. Plenty of room for 4+ adults with own bedrooms and baths and lots of space to gather or hang-out separately. Esther was extremely responsive to questions about the history and structure of this unique property.
Our extended family stayed here to celebrate my daughter's graduation from college. The setting is lovely. We spent most of our time on the screen porch looking out on the pond; also did a little fishing. The house is large; beds are comfortable; feels like home. Esther, the owner, was extremely nice. If you are looking for place to kick up your feet, hang out with family and friends, cook, eat, play scrabble, and enjoy the pleasures of a picturesque rural landscape with lots to do nearby, this is the place.
I was unable to come for this stay due to a death in the family. My four friends had a great time, loved the screen porch, the beautiful grounds, and said they’d like to stay here again, for sure.
Esther's house and property are lovely, comfortable and spacious. This was the perfect setting for 7 college friends to come together. Thank you!
This was the perfect house for a low key family getaway. It is INCREDIBLY kid and dog friendly! Lots of activities to do out in the huge lawn, a little climbing wall, treehouse, and beautiful vegetable garden. The pond was also perfect! The kids spent hours jumping off the diving board and we all enjoyed floating in the pond during our stay that was during a major heat wave. The property just can’t be beat. The house had plenty of space for 5 adults and two children. We arrived during a hurricane and we nice and cozy hunkering down for a day. Esther the host was wonderful. Amazing communication, very sweet, quick to respond to any questions we had, and very kind. A few things to note about the house itself: 1) No AC or AC units at all which made for a hot stay in the summer 2) No microwave 3) There weren’t enough towels when we arrived so we needed to do a load of laundry. 4) There was an outlet under the desk that somehow killed two laptops at different times during our stay. They wouldn’t turn back on and both needed to be replaced. Beware before plugging yours in! We didn’t have any other issue with the other outlets. 5) Some of the lights were broken so I was glad that I brought a few nightlights to plug in until we could get to a working lamp. Overall, we had a wonderful stay, I would definitely recommend, and we are strongly considering booking again for next summer!
