Stayed Feb 16, 2025The space was very new, clean and well kept and was in a beautiful location. It was very easy to find and the host was super nice and communicative. We had an amazing time staying and would definitely stay again if we were in the area. Very much recommended!

Stayed Jun 30, 2022The farm was situated in the outskirts of Lajen with a magnificent view over the little town and the valley beneath. The host was very helpful and gave us a lot of tips for hiking trails. We felt very welcomed and enjoyed our stay a lot.

Stayed Jul 8, 2019What a wonderful place to stay. We felt at home from the minute we arrived. Laion was a fantastic town to base our activities from. The free bus pass was key! I would strongly recommend both this place and the region, especially for families.

Stayed Jul 18, 2017Our hosts Erwin and Christina were very cordial. The two bedroom apartment was very nicely built and furnished. The Kitchen was nicely equipped and the balcony overlooking the village was a special place to enjoy. The Bathroom was large and tastefully designed also. The Master bed room was large with a king bed. The second bedroom had two single beds and was perfect for my children. The village is at the footsteps of the Unesco Dolomite area, and also close to Bolzano which is full of shops and restaurants, the village has a bakery, small markets, and a few restaurants. The setting up on a hillside and away from town provided more exclusivity and peacefulness than the more touristy village locations would offer. The hosts operate a small poultry operation and they surprised us with some free quail eggs on our arrival. We were able to get a sense of the lifestyle of Germanic people living in agrarian communities in the Southern Tyrolean Alps.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Our family stayed here for a week, and we absolutely loved it. It was very difficult to leave when the time came. The apartments are on a beautiful farm above the town of Laion, which is high on a mountainside near Val Gardena and St. Ulrich. Thew view from the balcony of the town below and the surrounding mountains is stunning. We would walk into town (about 10 minutes) to buy our groceries and to go for walks on the many trails in the area. One day we followed trail 35 from the house all the way to a huge mountain summit with spectacular views of the Dolomites. The well-marked trails have huts along the way if you want to stop and get a bite to eat. The apartments are spacious, impeccably clean, and very comfortable. We had everything needed to cook our own meals which we ate at a large table on the balcony. Our hosts, Edwin and Christine, were kind and gracious and spoke English well. They had numerous suggestions for us when we wanted advice on where to go for the day. Their children are wonderful, and played for hours with our own children. Laion is a delightful little village with shops (including two supermarkets and a butcher/deli), restaurants, and two old churches with sweeping views of the valley below. St. Ulrich and Val Gardena are an easy drive away. It takes about 20 minutes to get to Val Gardena where there are nearly limitless hiking trails and other outdoor activities. St. Ulrich has a great village center with many shops and restaurants. There is also regular bus service between Laion and St. Ulrich if you need it. We lacked nothing at all during our stay. We had a wonderful experience here. We very highly recommend it. When we return, we will stay here.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We spent a week in September 2011 in this charming home. The apartments and environment are even prettier than the pictures show, as well as immaculate. The large kitchen/TV room is well equipped with every convenience; the bedroom offered beautiful views from each window; the bathroom is large and modern. We ate all our dinners on the covered balcony overlooking the village of Laion, a 15 minute walk down the hill. The house sits next to a large pine forest, so is perfectly quiet and peaceful. The owners are very helpful in suggesting places to see or hike. The family delighted us one evening by having their son deliver a traditional dessert made by their mother. Ortisei and Chiusi are each about 15 minutes away and offer many possibilities for more restaurants, shops, strolls through lovely streets. Thank you for the perfect rest we both needed in your lovely apartment. We will return.
