Palm Beach (Central) is a subdivision of Palm Beach in Palm Beach County, Florida. Known as "Palm Beach" or "The Town of Palm Beach", it is a winter home for some of the wealthiest in the county. Palm Beach was originally established by Henry Flager who built 2 luxury hotels on the island, the Royal Poinciana Hotel, (completed in 1894), and the Breakers Hotel. The town of Palm Beach was incorporated in 1911. The island of Palm Beach is considered one of the most exclusive areas of the country.
