The rivers Ennig and Ellywe run through the town, it is also home to the Pwllwrach Wood, said to bare a lake where witches were drowned many years ago. Talgarth has two gastro-pubs, a cafe and shops to enjoy at your lesure. The Tabernacle venue hosts many events such as musicals, plays, talks and book launches, the town really does cater for everybody. The popular town of Builth Wells is within easy access and is certainly worth a visit, as is Llandrindod Wells slightly further north.
