It enjoys an isolated position, so is perfect if you are just looking to escape the rest of the world for a while! There is an outbuilding, ideal for storing bikes etc. The mature garden is a good size, and enclosed, and there is a large field area beside the house, ideal for ball games with your four-legged friend!brEllary is a private estate, situated near Lochgilphead, Argyll - on Scotland's beautiful West Coast. A luxury converted School Room

The School Room is a spacious accommodation located privately behind The School House.It is situated on the edge of the village and a short walk to Loch Awe. A stunning, elegant property for two with an open plan balcony bedroom that looks down to the sitting room with a four poster super king bed with luxury mattress.brbrThe kitchen has everything you will need to prepare any meal it has a dishwasher, microwave and washing machine. The bathroom has a large long bath and a separate spacious walk-in shower. The balcony bedroom looks down to a cosy sitting room with a log burner, dining area and comfortable sofa with Freesat, WIFI, TV, DVD, Sonos music.brbrThere is a large porch through the front door which then enters the kitchen with plenty of warm hanging space. There is a smaller porch to the back of the property off the sitting room which goes out into the garden, this was the old playground. We have kept many original features including the original floor with the old badminton lines!brbrOutside you enter the property into a large driveway with outbuildings for storage for bikes, roof boxes etc. There is a well-stocked log shed for your use and a private garden set to lawn with seating and a barbecue. A perfect getaway for two!brbrThe School Room is all open plan so we regret to say this is the only cottage we do not accept dogs. The School Room can be booked for short lets and we have a minimum of three nights. In July and August we try to keep to lets from Friday to Friday but again inquire and if we have late availability we may be able to help. We ask for an arrival time after 5pm so we can fully prepare the School Room for your holiday.

Ideally located for those wishing to purchase a fishing permit, the Lochead Burn starts at the front door, and it's only a short walk to the best fishing spots. The Malabar is our larger chalet, situated at the head of Loch Caolisport - providing fantastic views from the full length windows which run the length of the living room.brConsiderably larger than most chalets now, it provides comfortable living space for up to 4 people. The modern kitchen has a table which pulls out, and a washing machine (ideal for longer stays), the living room features great views, the shower room has just been re-modelled and refurbished, and the bedrooms are very comfortable having had new beds and new carpets last year - one double, and one twin.brThe verandah runs along the front of the property, and there are plastic chairs provided for guests use. There is also a picnic bench specifically for The Malabar on the grass just in front of the property. Behind, there is a large grass area - although this is not enclosed, it is ideal for kids playing ball games etc.brIt is ideal for a couple, or family of 4 - and much less 'camping' than most chalets advertised!brEllary is a private estate, situated near Lochgilphead, Argyll - on Scotland's beautiful West Coast. As a guest on the estate, you have unrestricted access to the thousands of acres, just waiting to be explored. There are so many walks right from the doorstep (perfect for your four-legged friend), and if you pop up to the office, we can point you in the direction of our favourite sandy beaches and lookout points.brEllary is ideal for you if you are looking to escape, and enjoy some time out - with 13 properties spread over 4 miles, there are very few people around.brFishing is available to those who want - fishing off the rocks for mackerel is free, and we can issue permits for the Lochead Burn and hill lochs, to catch sea trout & brown trout - permits are £20 per rod, per week.brWe are well located for bird watching and wildlife spotting, with over 80 species of birds (including golden & sea eagles), as well as otters, seals, deer, red squirrels, pine martins, badgers - the list goes on!brPhotographers will enjoy the landscape the West Coast of Scotland is famous for, and can enjoy the frequent sunrises and sunsets that turn the sky pink. Drone enthusiasts will also find some great scenery to photograph, with no neighbours for miles.brThere is a small practice golf course on the estate, which you are most welcome to use free of charge (we can even lend you a set of clubs), and there is also a private harbour which you are welcome to make use of if you wish to bring a boat with you. You will find lots of suitable places for launching kayaks around the estate (and the otters might even join you for a paddle if you're lucky!).
