Welcome to Villa Petalouda, your ideal 2-bedroom getaway in the Southern Peloponnese! Experience breathtaking mountain and sea views while enjoying a refreshing dip in your own private pool. Nestled on the Greek mainland near Kardamyli and just a short 60-minute drive from Kalamata airport, our villa comfortably accommodates 4 guests.brbrThe villa is nestled among olive groves on the outskirts of the small village of Proastio. With accommodation over two floors, the villa has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a spacious living room with a fully equipped kitchen. brbrIn the living area you will find comfortable seating for 4 people, around a pellet burner which provides heat and a focal point in the colder months. There is an internet enabled TV with access to streaming services such as Netflix or Prime Video. brbrThe kitchen area is fully equipped with oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine, kettle and toaster. The table seats 4, and extends to seat 6 comfortably. brbrThere is also a utility cupboard in which you will find a washing machine. This also has a drying function, although in the summer months laundry dries outside very quickly! There is a free standing drying rack in the cupboard, and a retractable washing line is found at the rear of the Villa. brbrThe upstairs bedroom has a kingsize bed and a private balcony with stunning views across the bay of Kalamata, where you can sip your morning coffee whilst watching the sun light up the landscape, or watch the sun set over the Messinian peninsula at the end of the day.brbrDownstairs the bedroom has either two single or one superking sized bed, and a door opening onto the patio near the pool. brbrOutside the villa has a covered verandah with an outdoor dining area and barbecue. Here you can sit in some welcome shade in the heat of the day, or shelter from the rain if a storm passes through the area. Sun seekers can relax on a sun lounger on a patio adjacent to the pool, which measures 10m by 2.5m and is 1.5m deep. brbrThe Villa also benefits from a large roof terrace, with panoramic views across the Bay of Kalamata, and along the coast of the Mani peninsula to the south. Here you can site in complete privacy whilst soaking up some sunshine or relaxing under a sunshade. There is also a dining table, where you can enjoy a meal al fresco with the majestic Taygetos mountains as the backdrop.brbrAt the rear of the property is a strip of garden with natural planting shaded by olive trees, at the end of which is a circular area where you can sit in complete tranquillity enjoying the sea views away from all noise and interference.brbrWifi is available on the patio and roof terrace.brbrThe village of Proastio has a small shop selling a small selection of mainly dry goods (pasta etc) with some tinned goods such as tomatoes or beer, There is also a taverna which is open most evenings during the summer months (not Mondays). This is run by Maria, who serves grilled meats, salads, and excellent fried potatoes.brbrFurther afield the towns of Kardamyli and Stoupa have a selection of shops and restaurants. There is no shortage of places to find an excellent meal!brbrThere are also several beaches nearby where you can enjoy swimming in crystal clear waters surrounded by fishes and other marine life.brbrWe can't wait to welcome you to beautiful Mani!
