Here, at the very back of the Valromane, lies our peacock farm, in the centre of the magnificent region of south-western Quercy. The road ends after our small country estate. The peacock farm and the 3 hectares of pastureland belonging to it are populated by 3 donkeys, 7 cats, 2 dogs and 6 peacocks. Our 2 dogs: a French mongrel and a Great Dane. They are very friendly and affectionate!brbrThe Pigeonnier, our guest house. There are 2 rooms in the tower of the former pigeon house. The living room next to the tower offers plenty of space for 4 people. Behind the new, very well-equipped kitchen there is a toilet, washbasin and shower. The guest house has free WLAN access. You can enjoy breakfast to the full on the magnificent sun terrace with pergola and views over the entire wild and romantic valley! You can enjoy the evening sun at the bistro table in the garden on the village square. The former pigeon house is fully equipped for our guests. In the tower room upstairs there is a double bed (200 x 180 cm), below it a bedroom with two single beds (190 x 90 cm), the living room with adjoining kitchen is generously sized for 4 people and has a large dining table for 6 people. In addition to the air conditioning, there is a cosy fireplace and access to the magnificent terrace. The kitchen is also equipped with a modern electric 4-burner hob and an equally new oven, microwave, dishwasher ¨brand an espresso machine. The fenced pool, which is only reserved for the tenants of the holiday home, is just a few steps away, and the Lac du Polonais, which is also located on the property, is a short walk away.brDining The beautiful old solid wood table seats up to 6 people, together with the matching high-quality cutlery and crockery, of course.brThe bedroom on the ground floor The light-flooded room has 2 beds (190 x 95 cm), it is located directly below the tower room and is connected to it by a staircase.brThe tower room Lie back on the 1.80 m x 2.00 m family bed and look up into the roof truss. You'll feel like you're in the Middle Ages - only much, much more comfortable!brbrWhen you enter the house from our village square, you will find yourself in a wonderful location that is almost all yours! The pergola-covered terrace with its magnificent view is equipped with a new table and chairs for 4 people, and the child-proof fenced pool (7.5 x 12.5 m) with sunbathing area and sun loungers is all yours! Behind it is a children's playground the size of a football pitch with a petanque court. On the opposite side of our village square is a small, open games room with a games table (cards, poker etc.), darts and lots of toys. Down in our valley is the private nature reserve, the Lac du Polonaise, which was created almost 100 years ago by a Polish owner of the estate. On our private zoo on the farm there are 2 dogs (a large Great Dane and a French special mix), they are all very affectionate and friendly, the 7 cats keep their distance, the 6 peacocks romp around the farm and retreat to the oak trees at night and the donkeys are either in the stable or in the pasture, they are also very affectionate and trusting.brbrWith a bit of luck, you can feel like Asterix and Obelix in the evening and watch the wild boars at our spring on the other side of the valley. Our animals (3 dogs, 2 cats and 7 peacocks) romp around on the village square and keep things busy. We love children and children love our peacock farm!brbrThe extensive and overgrown oak forests with the old stone walls fencing the former pastures, the ruins of old farmhouses and sod fountains invite you to go hiking right on the doorstep.
