House on the Beach - an on the beach that sleeps 9 guests in 4 bedrooms

Holyhead, Isle of Anglesey, United Kingdom

If it's a House On The Beach you are searching for, then look no further… This is a magical family house with its toes in the water, set within a hidden bay in the dreamiest part of northwest Anglesey. Sandy expanses and nature are all around – it is just sublime. You can sail right up to the jetty and swim, kayak and paddle. Explore the long stretches of coastal path in either direction or go barefoot all week and bask.brbrThe interior is light and stylish, decorated in elegant muted tones. Glass-and-timber bathe you with light in the sunroom. Gaze at big skies and watch the sea lap at the edge of your very own jetty. Lap up the view on the large wooden jetty deck, paint, sketch, read, walk the foreshore. Or, lie in bed all day and gaze at the wading birds and bobbing waves.brbrThe kitchen too is awash with light. Cook up a storm of a meal or eat al fresco on the terrace overlooking the inlet where on a good day the sun shines from late morning until the invariably spectacular sunsets.brbrThe open plan living and dining area are loaded with character. Cosy, with the beams, a wood-burner and sofas in winter, this is one of the perks of being on the coast edge. You can enjoy the drama of a storm from a cosy spot hunkering down in during a westerly gale or spring tide is quite something – you can watch the waves crashing surrounded by warmth. The dining table sits by a window for long sea views and great meals together.brbrThe four bedrooms are lots of glass framed views, dreamy beds with cotton sheets and cosy duvets, and views to keep you awake! The smart bathrooms have underfloor heating. There are plenty of books and games to keep everyone entertained on rainy days but most of the time you'll be charging about outside or watching sunsets sink into the sea.brbrHead out to Trearddur Bay or Rhoscolyn to find the coast path and more beaches. Snowdonia is a 30-minute drive for a total contrast. Valley has loads of takeaways and local small shops to cater for your needs.brbrIt's peaceful but please do note that the RAF Valley base is not too far and the jets can be heard when they set off. It can be noisy for short bursts of time and not every day. Some will enjoy the soaring jets.brbrPart of the excitement of staying at the House on the Beach is there is a chance you may be marooned in your sublime retreat. The drive becomes impassable for set times each month (three days after a spring tide). It just means a little planning and parking the car up the drive and walking over a causeway to it. You could of course use this as an excuse to be stranded in peace on the peace! The Inland Sea is probably the best place on the whole of Anglesey to swim, paddle board and kayak. With no under currents or tidal races, the sea here is quite protected. The Water in the Inland Sea is incredibly clean and clear - Heavenly!
