A small storage room at the back connects each side of the duplex, so feel free to rent both Yin and Yang! https://www.airbnb.com/h/yinonspring The entire apartment is yours except the back storage room is shared between each side of the duplex. You are welcome to use the backyard and have a fire in the fire pit. (Wood not provided and please pay attention to normal Fire safety issues, like no fires on windy days.) The back storage room of the building is shared between the two units. Please be quiet when in this space or passing through as both unit’s bedrooms attach to it. You’ve got to try the nearby pizza joint, Gabatoni’s. My mom has been eating their pizza for over 50 years! It’s got something unique about it, delicious! Less than a 5 minute drive from downtown Springfield and the State Capitol building. Park on the left side of the building when facing from street, or park in the street. You may drive all the way through the back yard to exit if both units are occupied so that both guests may use the driveway. A nice family home in an excellent neighborhood, just a two block walk to Washington Park. Convenient to groceries, fast food, a few good restaurants, Starbucks and various other shopping needs. Beautiful hardwood floors throughout except in recently remodeled kitchen and bathroom. Easy access with a front door smart lock. Recently remodeled with an updated bathroom and kitchen. Nice living room separated into a TV zone and a reading zone. TV with Amazon fire stick is provided. If you purchase any paid content, you will be responsible for charges, but there is plenty of free content available. There is a large dining room table with 6 chairs, plus 4 stools and the breakfast table in the kitchen. Garage will be available to guests staying longer than 1 week, or by request. Bathroom has only a shower, with a seat, no tub. There is a backyard with a patio and a swing. A charcoal grill is available for use, but owner takes no responsibility for keeping it clean, or providing charcoal. Please clean it after your use so it's nice for the next guest! There is also an additional toilet available in the basement, not a full bathroom and sort of funny placement in what I call the prison bathroom, but good to have when needed. Laundry machines available in basement. Basement is a typical unfinished, sometimes moist, midwestern basement. Some guests have noted that the stairs to the second floor are steep. If you have accessibility issues with more than the number of people that may sleep in the downstairs bedroom, please consider other options. The full house is for guests, including back yard. Longer stay guests will be allowed to use the garage. I won't be available but will always have someone who can help if any needs arise. Convenient to anything you could need within less than a mile. Washington Park is just two blocks away and has great duck ponds, botanical gardens, a carillon, tennis, and nice walking trails. Parking is easy and convenient at the house as the driveway holds at least three cars, and there is free street parking. This is a nice family neighborhood, please don't come stay if you are planning a loud party or will do anything that would disrespect the neighbors. Cute and cozy 1940's bungalow with everything you need for a family or friends gathering of 6. Just a 5 minute drive from Springfield's old state capital, Lincoln's home, Lincoln's Presidential Museum, and beautiful Washington Park. 10 minutes from Lincoln's Tomb. Everything you need to cook a basic meal with pots, pans, skillets, colander, knives, plates, bowls, cups and mugs, salt and pepper and cooking oil. Enjoy the tea or coffee provided. Front door has an automatic lock for easy entry. There is a nice big backyard you are welcome to spend time in, although a sourgum tree drops spiky seed balls, so beware! There is a two car garage you are welcome to park in, but the door is manual opening and does not currently lock. Also, it's just an old dirty garage with a few random items in storage. No parties are allowed. Sorry, no pets allowed. Guests will be charged $250 for bringing pets. Entire house, back yard and garage are available for your use. I will be available most days within a few hours if you have any questions. Someone is often available within a few hours to arrive to deal with any issues that could arise. There's a great pizza place just two blocks away, Bernie and Betty's.Another great Italian joint is just a few blocks further, Gabatoni's. Home is located very close to many restaurants and grocery stores. My favorite restaurant within a 5 minute drive is Thai Kitchen 2. The eastern end of Washington park is just a block and a half away and the main part is just a few more blocks. Springfield is an easy city to get around with your own bike or vehicle. The home is centralized and convenient to downtown, the Lincoln sites, the west side, the fairgrounds and more. No parties allowed. No pets allowed. There will be a $250 fee for undisclosed pets.
