The combination of these two delightful properties at Bearwood tick all the boxes for a gathering of family and friends. With ample space to join together, along with separate accommodation to enjoy your own space and privacy. The main house, Bearwood House is adjacent to but entirely separate from Bearwood Cottage.brbrInside the main house there's plenty of room to spread out with a large L-shaped sitting room divided by beams, giving separate areas to relax whilst still being together. A large open fire warms the space and plenty of comfy seating is provided to enjoy it. Perfect for catering for large groups, the farmhouse kitchen has both an Aga and an electric oven and hob, and a small breakfast table. The room spills through into an enormous dining room, large enough to seat all 15 guests. One of the five bedrooms is downstairs, along with a shower room. The remaining four bedrooms are upstairs on the first floor; bedroom one enjoys its own en-suite, with a family bathroom servicing the remaining bedrooms.brbrWander across the large driveway to the cottage with its roaring open fire in the sitting room and warming Rayburn oven in the farmhouse kitchen/dining room. Upstairs, bedroom one is welcoming, spacious and luxuriously comfortable with a super-king size zip and link bed framed by the characterful timber beams. This room offers flexible accommodation with the option for young families to utilise the day bed if required. Bedroom two is equally charming, with more exposed beams and a comfy king-size bed. Both bedrooms have use of the spacious family bathroom and there is plenty of storage on the landing.brbrEndless entertainment is provided. The house is set in grounds of more than an acre with an arboretum, sunken garden and loggia and there is a luxury outdoor hot tub for six people. The games barn provides a pool table, air hockey table, tennis table and darts board. Six bicycles plus a tandem, croquet, badminton, boules and many other garden games are provided. There is an Xbox One S in both properties, Bose SoundLink and a good selection of board games. Tennis is also available at the owner's house nearby.brbrJust a mile away in the black and white village of Pembridge is the 15th century New Inn where you can be sure of a warm welcome and a hearty meal; a super village shop, cafe and farm shop too; and, less than a mile from Bearwood House is the excellent Cider Barn restaurant, an absolute must for a special lunch or dinner during your stay (gourmet frozen meals can also be picked up to warm up in the Aga at Bearwood House). Or for a really special occasion, catering can be arranged at the house.brbrHardwick Barn available to hire: If you are thinking of having a celebratory lunch; drinks; dinner; or surprise party - for a crowd or just a few, Hardwick Barn is available to hire separately and is the perfect venue. A beautifully restored half timbered barn within 1.5 miles of Bearwood House and Cottage, the Barn is situated on the owner's family farm and has been lovingly renovated, keeping all the original timbers, with sensitive lighting accentuating the beams up to the rafters or disco lights also available if required. The mezzanine level seats up to 30 people for dinner with a glass balcony enabling a view over the barn. Downstairs are two glass, circular tables providing additional seating for a further 16 people. A long bar with bar stools sits along one wall with sofas which can be pushed back to create a dance floor area, and a wood burning stove provides warmth and ambience from the heart of the barn. There is a pool table at one end, with the kitchen and cloakroom located beneath the mezzanine level. Original sliding doors provide entry on two sides of the building, along with a terrace overlooking the fields to the hills in the distance. Caterers and bar staff can be provided who can be directly liaised with to organise the perfect event, and only a stone's throw from Bearwood House and Cottage. The Barn is also ideal for demonstrations, craft making courses and similar as the mezzanine level has large tables with sheepskin covered benches.
