The lounge has space to entertain with an electric fireplace and flatscreen smart tv. Broadband runs throughout the house. brbrUpstairs has 3 bedrooms (2 double and one single) with a family bathroom with integrated bath and shower. The bedrooms have wardrobe space and dressing tables with the master fitted with another flat screen tv. For toddlers a baby cot is available on request.brbrDarley is a beautiful village just outside the historical spa town of Harrogate. Within walking distance of the cottage is the village pub, The Wellington Inn, with its famous tap room where the local farmers gather at sundown! there are churches close by, farm shops, post office, and public transport connections into Harrogate, Leeds and York. Most tourist attractions are within a 30min drive but there is still plenty to keep you occupied in the local area. brbrNorth Yorkshire is steeped in history, all within a short drive you will find: the truly beautiful town of Knaresborough with its ruined castle and activities along the River Nidd inc Mother Shipton's Cave. The remains of the medieval Fountains Abbey are at Studley Royal Park. Ripley Castle and Bolton Abbey are not to be missed. The National Trust - Brimham Rocks is another great half day adventure. For some retail therapy the spa town of Harrogate is very close with an abundance of shops, eateries and bars and is also home to the world-famous Betty's Tea Room and The Ivy. brbrFor the more adventurous and sportier there are breathtaking countryside runs, walks, hikes and cycles (in 2104 the local area hosted the first leg of the Tour de France) the route is there to challenge you. Fewston Reservoir is great for a leisurely walk or 5km run.
