The nearby town of Myddfai is well-known for its Physicians and their use of herbal treatments and also the Myddfai Tourist Information Centre, which serves sandwiches and regional foods. There is a lovely church at Capel Gwynfe that dates back to 1898, and the town is also a popular starting point for bikers and hikers because of its proximity to the Black Mountain.
