Being on the lower ground floor, it is a little unusual in its layout and while we love the fact it is so quirky - please do take the time to check you would be comfortable staying here before you book!brbrOUTDOORSbrThere is a small paved courtyard garden with bench - enough space for alfresco drinks and a barbecue perhaps. This area is very private and not overlooked.brbrLIVING SPACEbrAs well as a comfortable living area with a 4-seater sofa and 2 armchairs, there is a dining table that seats 4 people and can be extended to seat 6.brbrKITCHENbrThe kitchen has a fridge freezer, microwave, electric oven and gas hob as well as a toaster and kettle. The vaulted rooms do not have a door between them so we have listed them as one room - although we've always used them as two rooms. They would suit a family or guests who know each other well. To be even clearer about the layout, we’ve enclosed a floorplan within the gallery of pictures of the apartment.brbr* PLEASE NOTE: There is only one bathroom with a shower and smaller than average bath. This made be an issue for larger groups.brbrThese rooms are built under the road and would have originally been the coal cellars for the entire house in the 1700s. We’ve lived here and slept in these rooms for nearly twenty years – however for some it might seem a bit strange to sleep in a room with curved walls so we feel we should point this out before you book!brbrThis property was previously a short let with another owner, you will see a screen shot in the additional features section of its review scorebrbrDuring your stay you will have the entire place to yourselves, however we live in central Bath and so are on hand should you need us. We - or Clair's Mum, Lyn - are usually fairly swift at responding to messages via the Airbnb app so use this first.brbrWe have a key safe system so you can arrive at a time that suits you within the check-in/out period and we do our best to accommodate those who want to store bags before and after this time with our luggage shed (do ask us about this if needed).brbrPARKING:brIn trying to deter people from visiting the city by car, Bath council have stopped all hotel and holiday accommodation guests from using on-street permits. The nearest public car park is Charlotte Street Car Park (BA1 2NE). As well as hourly / short stay options, you can park there for multiple days.
