Delightful family house in Azores seaside village

Porto Martins, Azores, Portugal

Sleeping 6 with three double bedrooms, Casa Velha is the oldest house in the seaside village of Porto Martins (pop. 1000) on Terceira, probably the most picturesque island in the Azores. It has natural pools for swimming beside the sea, which is five minutes 'walk away, and is located ten minutes' drive from the airport; the island's second largest town of Praia-da-Vitória is even closer. It is a wonderful place to charge your batteries and to get to know the picturesque countryside with its friendly people.brbrWe will be there on your arrival to give you the Keys and more local information.brbrFor an utterly enchanting holiday, please consider an island seaside village with a population of around a thousand (and effectively no tourists) and a house, which has been in the same family since it was built in 1831. It is just five minutes' walk from the sea and natural pools created in the volcanic rock. It comprises a living-room, three twin bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen and a utility room. The furniture is mainly made from old local timber; the aim has been to keep the house so far as possible as it was built, so modernization was kept to the essential. . There is a patio with barbecue which is delightful for alfresco meals, followed perhaps by a stroll around the orchard and vineyards.brWe look forward to welcoming you.brFabíola and António ❤️
