Wonderfully Updated Three Bedroom Villa in Hickory Cove!

Great location within palmetto dunes, clean, spacious and had everything our family of 5 needed, highly recommend!

Close to the beach, nice pool. We love staying in the Palmetto Dunes area. Parking was great, rooms were very nice, everything was clean.

The house was roomy with a bathroom for each bedroom. Easy walk to a beautiful beach. We had a few maintenance issues, which were fixed quickly. The house was clean. Our only issues were a musty smell and a blender that was not cleaned out by previous guests.

The location of this property was perfect for our quick getaway. It was a short walk to the beach, General Store, tennis and pickleball courts. I definitely recommend it! We had toiletry boxes in each of the bathrooms and a kitchen sponge and necessities to get us started as well as after sun care which were a welcome surprise. My only small critique is that housekeepers should occasionally move the furniture. I dropped a hair tie and wish I hadn’t had the opportunity to peek under the sofa. Otherwise, everything else was very tidy! We would definitely sty here again.

It's a quick walk to the beach and is in an area that wasn't too crowded, even on a holiday weekend. The check in process was great! Everyone we reached out to prior and during our stay was very responsive. When we checked in, it felt like nobody had been in the condo for awhile. It smelled very musty so we put the a/c on and quickly realized that the primary downstairs bedroom unit wasn't working. We put in a maintenance request and they were fast and professional. They were able to get the room down to 75 degrees which was much lower than the temp when we checked in, but couldn't cool it any lower than that which wasn't ideal for sleeping. Additionally, the kitchen was stocked with the bare minimum essentials. Unfortunately, the condo was very dirty when we arrived. There was one small roll of paper towels and no cleaning spray to wipe down the kitchen table or counters which needed to happen before eating. The floors were absolutely filty. I dropped a towel and picked it up and black dust was caked to the towel. I would bathe my kids daily and their feet were black with dirt before bed simply from walking barefoot in the condo. If they were older, I would have put them in socks but I didn't want them to slip and fall on the vinyl floors. While the location was absolutely fantastic, and the bedroom configuration perfectly fit our needs, I would only recommend this rental unit if they change cleaning companies.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our second year renting 36 Hickory Cove. Overall, it was a good rental experience. The unit, while dated, was in generally good condition. Unfortunately the heat stopped working in the living room area (all of the other rooms had heat), which was a problem. That room became very cold, especially in the evening during February. We tried to get the problem resolved, but the owners elected to leave it alone. The management at Palmetto Dunes tried to help and compensated us for our inconvenience. Unless the heat situation gets resolved, it would be difficult for anyone to rent this unit during the winter months. All of the other rooms were excellent and comfortable. The furniture in the unit is dated, but very comfortable. The screens and doors of the unit are older and tend to be tough to open and close. The amenities in the condo were sufficient and in good shape. The location of Hickory Cove cannot be beat. There is ample parking and it is a short walk to the beach.
