Two kids loved the house. They went on fishing charter and caught 34 fish redfish, trout and a big catfish. Loved the swamp tour on the airboat. Large alligators and raccoons came very close to the boat. Six adults and two children. Close to New Orleans but very quiet and relaxing area with great views from all the decks. We will be back soon. Karen the property manager a pleasure to work with.
Great.
Karen was awesome and made or stay great. The house is about 25 minutes to downtown New Orlends or a 60 dollar Uber ride in a Uber XL. The Walmart and everything is pretty close. The house is huge and honestly even with a big group of people it’s almost as if you have the house to yourself. We were a group 8 people all pretty much stayed on one level and still had room to spree. If I’m ever in New Orlends with a huge group of people I would definitely do book it again
We rented this property while in town for our Sorority’s Convention. It was an amazing property. So much better than a hotel. Throughout Tropical Storm Barry, the property manager, Karen, was awesome and remained in constant communication with us. I highly recommend this property. We plan to return soon!
My family and I really enjoyed this place. We really like the views of the waterways and location was picturesque. The first thing I noticed when going inside the place, was the cameras at all the stairwells. I was initially taken back by it, but I understand the need to protect the property. The amount of space was perfect for our group and the dock was great for fishing. The proximity to New Orleans was ideal, less than 20 miles from the French Quarter.
We loved our stay here! Great place to bring your family, and not too bad of a drive into the city.
Astonishing and Outstanding! This is an attractive and well maintained house on the waterfront with decks to sit out and enjoy the view and fresh air. Karen, the property manager is a very nice lady and very attentive to details of the house and the needs of the guest and made sure all of our needs were met. We were all very happy and couldn't have made a better choice.
We were a group of ten (5 couples), the house was perfect! We each had our own space and plenty of room to enjoy the views, play games and simply relax. All the amenities were ready and Karen was accessible for the few questions we had. We all agreed this would be an ideal place to return to for future vacations.
We had a great time. Loved the house. Perfect for our family. We had family in the area that could stop by after work and hang out. Very quiet and relaxing. Owner was very sweet and accommodating and very gracious.
*Description is accurate. *Property was extremely clean and well kept. *Property manager, Karen, was fantastic and attentive. *This comes highly recommended from my group of ten travelers. This five bedroom home is about 20-30 minutes away from the French Quarter, but is otherwise accessible by taxi or personal vehicle. The secluded nature of this listing is perhaps its greatest attraction - situated on the bayou and offering fantastic views from two wrap around balconies. Despite the onslaught of near constant rain, the increased water levels of the bayou spilling into the streets did not pose any problems at all. Had a great time - thanks, Karen and HomeAway! The home itself is well maintained - full kitchen, stocked bathrooms, laundry and linens/towels provided, etc.
