Villas at Destin West--Oceanside, Lazy River, Resort Pool, Marina

Property is in need for some TLC. Wasn’t the cleanest - hair in the shower, mold growth in the shower corners. My family has stayed at Destin West several times, this is the worst I’ve seen it. Disappointed to see they have removed all the grills surrounding the property. Considering the cost to stay, I expect a better overall experience for guests. With how many resorts are nearby, one would think resorts would strive to earn business.

Beach was very clean and well cared for. Most of the stay, check in, check out, property, parking garage, etc was all excellent. Room is on the beach side, facing East, toward Destin. Not a big issue but there is vehicle travel noise on the highway constantly. A minor item that needs attention is the sliding door to the balcony. It is very heavy, doesn’t seem to close well, and sticks shut when it does. Then it is very hard to open. Minor fix for maintenance…The front desk staff was very helpful, had many suggestions, and was always very calm.Great stay! Highly recommended!

Clean room, beach access was simple, safe, and close to the boardwalk.

The resort, the pool, the beach gave way to a much needed get away.

Loved the view and the price was great! Wish the dishwasher had worked but other than that was a great place.

Views outstanding, traffic not so much, layout of condo ok could be improved

We really enjoyed this place. It was within walking distance of the beach and the many amenities. We love Destin West because of the lazy river and many pools.

Checked into a dirty room. Watched the cleaning ladies not change the comforter on the bed. Took them about 15 minutes to clean.

All the construction in the area was distracting but it will be nice in the future. I apprecaite the owner being flexiable with my schedule.

The facility amenities were great, many options for pools, hot tubs, and a lazy river! Everything was within walking distance!

This condo located in Destin West, was affordable, easy to get to and full of amenities. Condo - it was well stocked with everything you need. Two sets of linens, cookware if you wanted to cook. The stovetop does take a while to heat up and burners are small. There are chargers in the wall, the queen bed and furniture was comfortable but we did not use the pull out couch. The view from the balcony is amazing. You can see the Gulf and there is plenty of room to sit on the balcony. This condo is on the 5th floor and the garage was very close. Made for easy transporting of items. Amenities - there are several pools and we took advantage of the large pool close to the condo as no swimming in the gulf due to rough waters while we was there. Plenty of room in the pool and for chairs on pool desk. We didn’t do the lazy river but heard it was nice. The workout room was nice. Beach - You are steps from the beach. We were able to walk down and come back up for lunch. Great location.

The “host” really wasn’t much of one. I sent one question during our stay and was met with the response to call the front desk. The pull-out sofa: one sheet and one pillow/pillowcase. No blanket or other linens. The bed was very uncomfortable. The balcony door needs to be repaired as it is extremely difficult to open (and neither of us is a weak woman—it truly needs repairs). Other than that—I will say the place was clean and well-stocked as far as the kitchen goes. We have enjoyed staying at Destin West over the years in general.

The property was nice and clean. It was great for two adults. The only thing I would add would be somewhere to place shampoo in the shower. There was only a soap tray. It was great and enjoyed our stay.

Location nice , well furnished room . Some water damage at bottom of shower door . The rest of the unit was nice , takes long time for burner top in kitchen to get hot .

Loved our time here host is great and easy to talk to! The condo is bigger than the pics look tbh! So clean and loved that we were on the beach! The only negative thing I have to say is for the fold out couch there was no comforter just a sheet set so definitely recommend bringing pillows and blankets for the sleeper Sofa! But overall will stay here again!

The room was clean. It’s in such a great location! Easy access to all the activities we did! My kids loved walking in the pier, which was so close!

I come to the Destin area every year. There are so many things I loved about this condo. I normally get rooms that are right on the ocean. This one was not directly on it but I could still see it fine and I could see the rest of the town and the bay. I loved how the front door of the condo faced the parking garage. I was able to park on level five other parking garage directly across from the condo where I could see it and it was so convenient to go to and from my truck. I really liked how the amenities were combined with the large condo buildings across the highway and it was linked by the walkway crossover from the third floor. It was really great to have a selection of the pool over there and the lazy river and also have access to the pool connected to this condo. I did not hear any noise from outdoors during the night time. This place was great and I would stay here again.

Absolutely loved it here. So many pools and views and a lazy river. Walking distance to several restaurants. Great price. Definitely will come back.
