Stayed Dec 31, 1969We loved the villa layout; pool area was fabulous, kitchen was lovely and Master bedroom with outdoor shower was wonderful but there were so many bugs (roaches, ants, spiders, water bugs and mosquitoes), we had to cover and refrigerate everything. The exterminator was called twice. The last night of our stay, the power went out and there was no air conditioning in one bedroom. We were disappointed that we were led to believe that working televisions would be in each bedroom but only one (master bedroom) had an operable television. It was not what we expected. However, Christine was wonderful and our issues were addressed immediately and professionally.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We have enjoyed St. Martin for 12 years, returning sometimes twice in a year. The islanders are so friendly and courteous. When Irma hit, we felt devastated as if we lived there ourselves. We kept in contact with Carole along the way, to see how things were progressing, hoping that we can return sooner than later. When we were arriving, we knew that it was not going to be the same island we left last May, prior to the storm. In passing through the towns, we couldn't believe the damage that occurred that awful day. Although the damage was terrible, it was also very gratifying to see the repairs that have been done already, and the businesses that have reopened. The thing that needs to be done is to get the tourists back to the island as fast as possible. The island relies on the income the tourists bring with them, and unfortunately this is low season. But with the low season gives the island a chance to repair itself and get more businesses open before high season arrives. That needs to be the main focus of the government in both sides, and the people as well. I can't think of anything I can say negatively, under the circumstances you are up against. We look forward to coming back next May with my children and have then experience how wonderful St. Martin is, and why we keep coming back each year. Hopefully next year, everything that we missed this year will be open and operating next year.
