Stayed Mar 17, 2024We loved everything about this property: 1: the adventure getting to it (manger communication and instructions were excellent - definitely not the craziest road we were on in CR, and close to main highway over mountain pass to Perez, so very convenient) 2: Gateway to Central/South Coast - easy drives into Dominical, OSA beaches, Manuel Antonio (about an hour, super easy drive), and San Isidore (Perez) - the small city where you can find cheaper supplies and practice your Spanish! 3: Amenities - We harvested starfruits, lettuce, bananas and got eggs from the chickens. There were pineapples growing by the pool pathway: so much fun for us to have a mini-homestead and personal resort. Kitchen and bathrooms were nicer than my own at home. Gorgeous view. Loved the pool. Quiet and private. Exceeded my expectations overall. ** Communication with the management team was stellar. They answered any questions I had almost immediately. ** It was a touch hot a couple of nights without AC (March - very warm and humid), but a few evening rainstorms helped. There are multiple fans for use, which was appreciated. We kept the sliding doors open at night to catch the breeze. It’s not a gated community but felt very safe. **About 15 min drive into Dominical. Not a difficult drive, but if you are not experienced in driving in CR it could be tough at night to arrive. The hardest turn is the one off the main road onto the dirt track, imo. Just a bit hidden. We will be back!

Stayed Jan 29, 2024If you're seeking an unforgettable Costa Rican retreat surrounded by breathtaking wildlife and unparalleled views, look no further than this villa. Nestled in the heart of Costa Rica, this haven offers an experience that exceeds all expectations. We enjoyed staying at this remarkable villa during our sixth visit to Costa Rica. We were captivated by the abundance of wildlife that greeted us from the moment we arrived. Every morning, the vibrant melodies of toucans and hummingbirds echoed through the lush surroundings, while the occasional sighting of falcons soaring overhead added an extra touch of magic to our days. And let's not forget the playful monkeys swinging through the trees, a delightful reminder of Costa Rica's rich biodiversity. Despite our initial concerns about the lack of air conditioning, we were pleasantly surprised by the cool evening breezes that swept through the villa. Not once did we miss the air conditioner, as the natural ventilation provided a refreshing respite from the daytime heat. It was a perfect example of how nature can seamlessly integrate comfort and sustainability. One of the highlights of our stay was undoubtedly the warm hospitality the owner and management team extended to us. From the moment we booked our stay until the day of our departure, they went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our visit was exceptional. Their genuine kindness and attentiveness made us feel right at home,

Stayed Jan 5, 2024The house is pretty far from things, the lack of AC and the fact that it was very basic (you need to bring everything including salt and pepper, clothes washing detergent etc) put us off a bit. On the plus side, the house was clean and had most of the things you need for a stay. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds were fine. I would say, understand what your needs are and plan accordingly. The cost of the house is reasonable and they were quick to help when we had issues. I would caution you that this is a basic property. No frills.

Stayed Apr 4, 2023Our family of 6 really enjoyed our stay at this house. The house was very nice and clean. We loved hanging out on the patio, watching the sunsets, listening to all the wildlife, and swimming in the pool. The kitchen was nice and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. Having fresh eggs from the chickens and bananas off the trees was great. There were only a few minor issues with the house and the property manager had them fixed immediately. Overall, a great house!

Stayed Mar 5, 2023We loved how peaceful this house was (except for the cicadas!). The house was perfect for our group (4 adults and one 4 year old) and well equipped for our stay. Very thoughtfully laid out with an amazing view! Definitely need a 4x4 to reach this house.

Stayed Jan 21, 2023This house was so perfect and private that we wanted to buy it. It was so clean and beautifully maintained. We were there 4 weeks. For one week there were 5 of us and one toddler. The layout of this houses was great for 6 people. There was no need for AC. The breeze at night was just right for sleeping, just leave all the windows open. Wonderful screens in all windows that kept the outdoors, outdoors. The property was large with banana trees, pineapples plants and chickens that were not running lose but did provided fresh eggs. Beautiful pool. The ocean sunsets were fantastic every night. The property manager was extremely responsive. He provided great directions to the house. Do need a FWD vehicle. A large supermercado about a 10 minute drive away. One downside, not many places to eat. We did find great pizza not far. We have vacationed in Costa Rica for several years. This was the best place by far.
