The property itself was fantastic. Great location, very spacious, the atmosphere was perfect. However, the little things need some upgrades. The stove would not bring pans up to temperature, so we had to use the grill outside. The wifi was very slow. The knives were blunt. The TV in the living room is very old. Overall, we were had a great time, but the little things stopped it from being perfect.

If you are looking a sparkling, new, model home of a cabin/vacation house, you may want to look elsewhere, but if you are looking for a comfortable home that exudes warmth and allows for you and your family to come together, relax, and make memories, look no further. It was quiet, the surroundings are beautiful, especially the view from the rear deck towards the woods. There is a hiking trail just a couple hundred feet from the rear of the cabin. It is an easy hike and we did it every day. On the trail there was an abundance of flora, butterflies, birds, and wildlife to admire. We will stay here again. Here are some things you should be aware of: 1. There are no open fires allowed so you CAN’T use the fire pit portrayed in one of the pics. A little disappointing, but understandable given the fire danger. 2. Bring camp chairs with you for using in the fire pit area. Even though we couldn’t build a fire, we enjoyed sitting and reading there surrounded by pine trees and large boulders. The chairs are also useful for the balcony off the Master Bedroom. The chairs on the balcony are pretty worn. 3. There was no traditional coffee maker, just a Keurig, so bring k-cups. (Other than than not having a traditional coffee maker, the kitchen was very well equipped with everything you meed) 4. This should be a no brainer, but bring insect repellent, we also used a Thermacell Lantern on the table on the rear deck to ward off mosquitoes while eating an playing games on the rear deck. Bring you family, enjoy, and make memories…

The house was nice, showing some age but nice and quiet, the inside was clean but deck and exterior not so much. In the master bedroom we found wet spots on the carpet, proceeded to see water dripping from the ceiling all weekend, there was a cover taken down from roof so I assume someone knows about issue. Dripping sound made it VERY hard to sleep, Friday morning I reached out on vrbo website with a question about check in... just got a check out response today 4 days late. Disappointing to not get a response all weekend, and the key code and lock box was very confusing,

We’ve stayed @ many different rental properties @ shaver so good some not so much. This property is is the best so far. Everything functioned properly at this property with no complaints. This is a perfect location and an amazing house. It did not disappoint. We got plenty of snow this trip, which was great. I would definitely stay here again. Snow plows were prompt on both the driveway and roadways. Thank you for a great family getaway. Will definitely be staying here again.

Snow and cabins just go together so well, we were able to witness snow fall during our stay. Our family will hold the memories for years to come

We had a wonderful stay. Everything was great, except one family member had to leave because there was not Wi-Fi. Unable to stream movies or use fire pit at night

this house was very comfortable and accommodated two of our families. it's full with all appliances, kitchenware and utensils needed. has a beautiful porch looking out to the bonfire area which we loved. string lights made it very pretty and comfortable. very nice area with a walking trail behind the home. this is our 2nd time staying here and would love to make it a tradition for the years to come. the only thing that I would like to address is how it needs to be further cleaned right before we stay. we pay enough money for a clean home. although counters and the area was wiped down and cleaned. there were left over food from what I'm thinking previous renters and there was rat droppings in the drawers in the kitchen and pantry. there was a package of food that was chewed through from rats. there was so many spider webs through the entire house. when it was time for bed there was spider on our pillow. there was a big spider in the shower. and even one crawled on my sister in her bedroom where she stayed. this home is lovely and comfortbale to stay but please take the time to thoroughly clean for the next family.
