Just spent a week at Villa Mary and we absolutely loved it. The villa was large enough for the 8 of us. If you want the feel and charm of a real Tuscan villa, this is your place. If you are looking for modern hotel-like accommodations, you may want to look elsewhere. The beds were all super comfy and the showers had hot water. Although the kitchen was old farm-style, it had everything we needed to create wonderful meals. There is a supermarket just minutes away and the bus station to downtown Florence is there, too. The outdoor courtyard was perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine after a day of sight-seeing. There is also a winery just a half mile up the road where you can buy local wine. As a runner, I enjoyed running up on the ridge which had some of the most spectacular views in Tuscany and little traffic. Pauline is a wonderful hostess and provided great tips for sightseeing and dining. She quickly texted us answers to any of our questions. The only one downside was the WiFi was very weak. But, if you're on vacation in Tuscany, you shouldn't be on your phones anyway! We loved this villa and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a REAL Tuscan experience.
Giulia and Pauline are great hosts. The house is newly renowated with love, charme and great taste. Perfectly cleaned rooms, a well equiped kitchen and lots of space in and around the house. We loved the pool during the hot season in June. We had a great time staying there and will definetly come back! Stephanie
This is an amazing place to stay at for a city runaway. The villa has all the amenities, is beautifully decorated and is just a few miles by car away from the major attractions. Great beds, stunning vistas from the terraces. And it was nice to find out that Pauline is a tour guide and thus has above average knowledge of the monuments in Florence, Pisa and the Chianti region. *Close to most towns you need to visit *You must have a car *Amazing Owner *Amazing preparation of the house with all cooking utensils and towels *Clean house We are certainly returning and will be recommending this villa to others.
