The villa was absolutely delightful and fabulous, a real treasure. It was very clean and well maintained. We chose not to hire a car, as the bus service was great and the number 26 bus goes very close to the villa and the taxis are very reasonable. The slopes walking up and down to the villa keep you fit. When we arrived,the weather was cloudy with a little rain, so no sun on the pool. Therefore we would have like the pool to be slightly heated, but when the sun beamed down, it was very pleasant to swim in the pool. We had a wonderful time and would thoroughly recommend a stay at this gorgeous villa. Thank you for a lovely holiday. Sally and Ian.

Filomena, the host is an elegant and lovely woman. She showed us around the house explained everything and then we stayed and enjoyed it. It is probably one of the most beautiful villas I’ve ever rented would absolutely stay here again.

We all concluded that the best word to describe this villa was ‘palatial’. Spotlessly clean marble floors, cosy couches and fab pool, it had everything we needed. Not far from the centre of Funchal, albeit down a very steep hill, it’s a great location with amazing views. Luckily Bolt taxis are very reasonable so that saved us the steep walk back up the hill. Filomena was very helpful and recommended a tasty local restaurant for our first lunch and helped us sort out the delayed transport back to the airport on our last day.. It was a perfect place to relax by the pool after a days sightseeing and I can highly recommend staying here.

We had amazing time in Maderia we loved everything about it. Our host Filomena was very nice and easy to communicate with .The home was huge and beautiful the views were incredible. Love everything about the house. The location was the best everything is near by we learned you don't need to rent a car in this location. Alot eaiser useing Bolt and doing excursion. Amazing place to stay, great location, lovely pool and fantastic grounds. The communication with Filomena was very efficient and easy. We were lucky - Filomena was able to let us check in early, which was much appreciated. My mum hurt her leg, and Filomena was so kind to let us stay at the villa till it was time to going to the airport. Thank you so much!!!!

We had the pleasure of staying at Filomena’s home for 5 days in early October. A stunning home with a magnificent view of Funchal and the harbour. 3 large size bedrooms each with their own ensuite with excellent beds. Massive principal rooms, an excellent kitchen, and a beautiful outdoor covered porch overlooking a lovely, clean pool. Communication was prompt and very helpful. We were 3 couples and absolutely loved our time at Filomena’s. Highly recommend.

A very large, very well managed villa in a great location. Perfect for anyone who wants lots of room. The pool was clean, big enough for a swim and in an amazing terraced garden with what must be some of the best views in Funchal. Everything was spotless when we arrived. A wonderful warm welcome from our host Filomena. 100% recommend for a special occasion, family holiday etc

Pictures don’t do it justice. Right in city; 10 minutes walk to everywhere. Parking. Pool. 3bd. Good kitchen. Very large. Excellent, responsive landlord.

This property was extremely nice and a pleasant stay for my wife and family. We would stay here again if we return.
