All in all was a Great time in the house

Wonderfull view and comfy place to stay. Loved the pool. Only thing that could be better is the information book/leaflet about general rules, carbage / recycling etc. but otherwise everything was fine and the owner was really helpfull. We recommend the place for everyone who wants own peace and dont need the city or shops nearby.

Our family of 11 stayed a week at this beautiful home. When you walk into the home, you are mesmerized by the amazing view from the windows and patio. It truly was the perfect location for our family. We were close to beaches, Lloret de Mar, Tossa de Mar and Barcelona. Lots to see and do in the area. The drive up is quite steep, so if you aren't comfortable with a manual transmission on a hill, be sure to get an automatic vehicle. The house is relatively well taken care of it, but there are a few things that need attention. Beds are comfortable and duvets sufficient; however, most pillows are horrible and need to be replaced. Also, there are no written instructions at the house for operating items (ie. washer & dryer or dishwasher) or other useful info (ie. tv, internet and garbage disposal). There are only two air conditioners, one in the bedroom upstairs and the other in the hallway in the basement. It got a bit warm for people who shut their doors downstairs. The screens on both air conditioning controllers aren't working, so it's hard to set the air conditioner properly. For North Americans - If you use the washer and dryer, be sure to empty the water container (top left hand corner of dryer) as it fills up quickly...different than our typical dryer. Our biggest frustration was the garbage. Originally, we were told to leave it anywhere. We understood that to mean on the property because we couldn't find any bins for garbage or recycling anywhere. Near the end of the week, as the garbage piled up, we contacted the property manager. We were told to drive down to the town and put it anywhere. As you can appreciate, the smell after a few days in the sun made it inappropriate to put in a car. We asked about a garbage pickup, but was told there wasn't any; however, neighbours did put their garbage to the curb for pickup. We managed to take some bags down the hill and found a bin, but we think it was private property so we felt like criminals disposing of garbage. Also, if you are considering renting this property, you should be aware there is a surcharge for bed linen and towels (17 euros p.p.). We weren't made aware of this charge until we booked the property and received a Sample contract with the prices. By the time we saw this, it was too late to book an alternate property. As well, the owner only supplies one roll of toilet paper/bathroom and one garbage bag, so be prepared to shop.

You will drive through a quiet, peaceful, family friendly neighborhood to a quiet unsuspecting home with a front courtyard. Through a large secure door, you will be greeted with a spectacular sea view. A wall of windows stretching across the entire sea view side of the house. Seriously the pictures do not do this house justice. On this level there is a bedroom with 2 twins connected, sea view window, chair, 2 nightstands, and a wardrobe. Between the living room and bedroom is a bathroom connected to the hallway . The bathroom has a shower, sink, and toilet. The living room is cozy, with every inch covered in seating. Perfect. The living room, dinning and kitchen are all one space. The dinning room has 2 tables connected with abundant seating. The kitchen has all the basic cooking utensils. Plenty of dishes and cups for a crowd to eat all meals there. The dishwasher was well used by us. I would caution family with young kids to bring plastic cups. The flooring is all tile, perfect for pool time, not glassware used by toddlers and kids. There is a great charcoal grill connected to a huge outdoor patio with tons of table seating and a large hot tub. Next level down there are two bathrooms. One on the right, on in the left, with 5 bedrooms between. All have 2 twins , great for connecting or separating. One room has its own private sea view patio, while another has a private patio with table and chairs and stairs that take you to the pool. The other 3 bedrooms have sea view windows. One bathroom has a shower one has a tub/shower combination. There are two ways to the pool, on a third level. One by way of a lower bedroom, one by way of the private courtyard at the front of the house. The laundry is on the level of the 5 bedrooms. It's a separate washer and dryer units. Take note of empty the water collector and vents. They were very full after each use. We had the pool heater. Wonderful decision! Internet is terrible, for everyone on the mountain. Buy a sim card before you leave and use cell phone internet and you will be fine. We couldn't get tv to work, never asked for help either. It does have apple TV. Alexander, the guy who does all communication on here, also does on the meeting and fixing. He will blow you away with his quickness and true compassion to help you have the best vacation. Security cameras onsite. When you arrive you can manually slide a cover over the lens for privacy. Absolutely no big deal.

Great place, fantastic landlord

While view is stunning, we were left with the impression that the owner is providing bare minimum on services, supplies, upkeep and accommodation. Not what we expected based on what was advertised and for the price. We have stayed in many HomeAway properties, including a few in Spain, so we do have excellent comparisons. We were basically told by the property manager that they have all five star reviews so it's just us with the problems, but here are the facts, also shared with the manager. Positives: A truly excellent view of the sea, house was clean, pool was clean. Manager responded after issues were raised to him. Negatives: (1) Cameras located throughout the interior of the house. We felt like we were being watched. I have not encountered cameras *in the house* in other properties. We were told security system was deactivated, but still creepy. (2) House is advertised as having air conditioning. It has some air conditioning, true, but the house is not fully air conditioned. There is air conditioning in one bedroom which worked. There is another unit located in a hallway in lower level intended to cool the remaining bedrooms, but the downstairs bedroom did not cool off even with curtains closed during the day. Noise impacted sleep. (3) Internet is there, true, but it works very poorly. So slow we couldn't do work. Tested speed, found it to be less than 6 mbps. Manager told us you can't get good speeds in Spain in hotels (what?) but this has not been the case in other houses for us. (4) Amenities are as cheap as they come. Only very thin bath towels. No extra towels or bedding provided unless requested. Manager did bring beach towels to use outside after we enquired. (5) White plastic lounge chairs were filthy. After we brought this to manager's attention, a cleaner came over on Sunday (next day to be fair) to wash them. Asked that we move out of the chairs we were laying on saying manager insisted he clean those too. Should have been done before arrival. (6) Lock on a lower level door was broken when we arrived. Not safe. Contacted manager, who came over to repair same day. Should have been done before arrival. Why have elaborate security system with a broken lock? (7) Instructions for checkin provided by email, no personal orientation or binder provided with instructions for house. (8) Densely populated area Very disappointed and not good holiday experience.

Our family much enjoyed the stay at Villa Brisa in Blanes. The view from the terrace is extraordinary and within walking distance there are beautiful beaches. The villa was fully equipped with everything we needed. Both the landlord and the owner are very easy to connect with and gives great service. The only hassle we had was leaving the garbage, which means you have to transport it by car for three minutes.

A fantasy stay! We were a big party of 10 people who had a wonderful holiday in July in Villa Brisa! Many lovely evenings with common cooking on the large terrace with outdoor kitchen in addition at sunset with amazing views :)! We can really recomend Christer as landlord and Villa Brisa can not be missed in undetable Blanes !! Lotta and friends from Sweden
