Villa Festina Lente in Makarska, heated pool

This is a relatively new and quality villa with great views, immaculately clean and equipped with everything we needed for a very enjoyable 7 night stay. Although there was an initial issue with the pool heater this was swiftly resolved once identified and the host was extremely responsive before and during our stay. There is building construction in the vicinity but the villa was actually very quiet. Although the walk down the steep hill to Makarska beach area/restaurants was 15 mins and 20/25 to the harbour, returning by car/taxi is easier than walking. There is a small supermarket 7min walk down the hill, though larger outlet only 3min drive. Highly recommend.

Very well equipped villa with lovely views to Makarska. Spacious living and dining area. Enjoyed the heated pool. Owner was attentive and responded to our questions quickly. A short drive to the town centre and shops. Despite lots of building sites in the street, the property was quiet and secluded.

We loved our stay here. Villa is better than the photographs online and has a beautiful view, we would love to visit again. Walk back from town is up a VERY steep hill. Be prepared to use taxis/hire car if you have mobility issues or a baby in a pram like we did.

The villa is perfectly situated up the hill in Makarska, easily reachable by car. The views down to the harbour and across to the island are beautiful. We used to walk down to the promenade in Makarska and get a taxi back during the evenings. There is a large supermarket at the end of the road which was very convenient. We arrived during the early hours on a Sunday morning and Krešo the villa owner was there to greet us and show us around. The fresh fruit and bottle of wine were a very welcome addition; especially taking into consideration the time we arrived. Krešo checked in with us the day after we arrived and asked if everything was ok; he was on hand if needed which was good to know. The villa itself is beautiful; and has everything you need and more. It was home from home and was very well equipped - the owners have thought of everything. Lots of lovely touches and very clean! Outside is perfect; plenty of comfortable seating - including table and chairs under a sheltered area, a shower and sun loungers. The pool was beautiful and clean. Our daughters particularly loved the egg chair! All in all; I’d highly recommend the villa to anyone wishing to stay in Makarska. The perfect villa in the perfect location; we visited Tucepi and Baska Voda (the next resorts on from Makarska) both within a 10 minute drive of the villa.

Nicely set out with a great size pool, it’s a perfect size for a family of four. The house is well finished and comes with all the appliances you can think of. I’d highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing place to stay, but good access to all the action. The walk to and from the beach is within reach but the return leg is uphill all the way!!

Very smart contemporary villa with immaculate presentation. Views were fantastic and better than expected. Villa was clean, and had everything we needed and more. My children 10 & 12 loved it.
