Stayed Aug 9, 2025We spent an incredible eight days at Villa Azzolu, and I can confidently say it's the best villa we've ever stayed in, out of all the many we've rented across Europe. The villa was immaculately clean and had everything we needed. The open-plan kitchen and living area was perfect for our family of five, and the outdoor space was fantastic, with a gorgeous pool, stunning views (which were even more breathtaking in person), and a barbecue area that we used frequently. The location was ideal, with Castellammare del Golfo nearby offering good supermarkets and cafes, including a lovely bakery where we picked up our morning coffee and pastries. Scopello is also worth a visit, with its beautiful restaurants and eateries - we particularly enjoyed Bar Nettuno, where we had delicious food at reasonable prices.A big thank you to our host, Fabiola, who was super helpful and responsive to our questions - she was great to deal with! The wonderful weather made our holiday truly unforgettable, and we'd highly, highly recommend Villa Azzolu to anyone looking for a perfect family vacation. We're already planning our return trip for next year!

Stayed Jun 9, 2025The villa was absolutely beautiful and it was perfect for our group of 8. We highly recommend this accommodation. The host was very responsive and recommended a local chef who came to the villa to cook us a Sicilian meal, as well as a taxi company for airport transfers. Couldn’t be happier with our stay.

Stayed May 2, 2025Villa Azzolu was perfect for our trip. It was located off the main road west from Palermo. It has 360 degree views of mountains and the sea. Fabiola met us en-route to the property and showed us around. He replied to any queries we had via WhatsApp , a really excellent host. The villa is exceptional! Four bedrooms, one of which is on the ground floor and 3 bathrooms. The terrace is shaded so you can enjoy alfresco dining. The pool was beautiful and grounds really nicely landscaped. The location for us was perfect. We were able to reach the south coast and visit the temple ruins in just over an hour. The salt flats between Marsala and Trapani can be reached in an hour from the villa. Very beautiful. There is wine tasting (ordinary wine and Marsala wine) in Marsala itself, a very enjoyable day out.The beach is a 5 minute drive from the villa with a shingle beach. It is gorgeous! There are fabulous restaurants in Castellammare del Golfo (a shout out to the wonderful La Grazie) and the hillside town of Scopello also was beautiful with lovely eateries. We will definitely return to this part of the island and would stay at this villa in a heartbeat. It was perfect!

Stayed Sep 1, 2024I stayed at Villa Azzolu with 5 of my friends and we had an amazing time. The views are breathtaking and the property is well maintained. A great place to spend time in between enjoying the nearby beaches and other sights. The check-in process was seamless and Fabiola graciously allowed us to leave our luggage there before our check-in time so we could enjoy the day without worrying. Such an amazing stay and experience!!!

Stayed Aug 25, 2024We had a wonderful time using this villa as home base while we explored Sicily. The view from the back patio and pool area is breathtaking! The owners were very responsive and easy. There were some minor things that came up but the owners quickly addressed them as they seemed highly focused on making our stay perfect. Sicily does have strict and somewhat annoying trash policies which are no fault of the owners but it is one thing we disliked.

Stayed Jun 29, 2024Villa and all amenities all to a very high quality and standard; very high. Highly recommend Villa for location; particularly the view of the Gulf from the patio and pool area. A little remote (so car essential), but this adds to the Villa’s charm and character. Driving on Sicily is ‘an education’, so be prepared for NASCAR style tail-gating! The locals are friendly (except when driving), and helpful. English not as widely spoken as on Italian mainland but we managed. Food good and plentiful, wine also plentiful and wide variety. Beaches (on Sicily) can be small and might be disappointing for families planning a beach-based holiday, I would judge; better to confirm before you book. First week in Siracusa, second in Palermo - transfer/roads was easy; on the whole preferred Siracusa for places to visit, things to do. Communication with Villa managers (when arriving or transferring) was at times ‘a little last minute’ but worked.
