Villa Aqvara, originally an old farmhouse, is a breathtaking and peaceful all-suite villa in the cute village of Massa Lubrense, just minutes from Sorrento. It overlooks the Tyrrhenian Sea, which is part of the Mediterranean. Villa Aqvara is perfectly located in the green hills of Massa, giving its guests spectacular panoramic views of the Gulf of Naples, with its magnificent islands Capri, Ischia, Procida, as well as the ever-imposing Mount Vesuvius. Built in 1776 by the Baron of Cerqueto, Vincenzo Maria Ajello, just ten years after the signing of the Declaration of Independence (to give you an idea of Villa Aquara’s rich history), the house takes its name from the spring water, abundantly present in this territory, which supplies the extraordinary vegetation, as well as a wash house that is still in use today. At the entrance of the villa is a fantastic Italian Rococo style fountain, with lava stone and tuff that welcomes guests with its spouting water. As you enter the property, the scent of flowers and plants, as well as the varied colors of the water lilies will touch all your senses.

The Villa is exceptional. The pool is larger than expected and immaculate. The rooms, kitchens, views and all accommodations were suburb. The property is exceptionally well cared for. We had a great time as a family at this location and highly recommend it. There is a small restaurant and mini market in walking distance. Sorrento is about a 30 minute drive, professional transportation recommended. Everything promised for this property was delivered and more. Five stars out of five.

This house was amazing and perfect for our two families. We had plenty of space for everyone and the views were incredible. We watched the sunset every night and sat on the patio and enjoyed the view of Capri at night. A great family owned store and pizza place nearby to walk to and great small towns nearby to explore and enjoy. Can't recommend this place enough.

The Villa had everything we were looking for. Plenty of space for nine of us to sleep, a gorgeous pool with plenty of lounge chairs, different seating areas, incredible sunset views.. Bruno even came out to guide us on his motorbike as we had trouble finding the villa the first day. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of catering size pots and pans, plenty of plates and silverware, fridges. There were some great restaurants within walking distance, a butcher and a grocery store. We had a few small issues on the first day and he sent maintenance out immediately to rectify them. The house is definitely off the main roads and slightly difficult to navigate a large nine seat minivan through the side streets, but we managed to do it. The location is great for making day trips to the Amalfi Coast, Sorrento, and even Pompeii. I would definitely recommend this villa, our stay was incredible.

Our stay at Villa Aqvara exceeded our expectations. There were multiple areas for our group of eight to gather and enjoy time together, but also separate spaces that allowed privacy. We spent every evening on the large terrace taking in the amazing sunsets. We thoroughly enjoyed time relaxing by the pool, especially after a day of touring and sight-seeing. We appreciated the poolside restroom, shower and toys. The villa manager, Bruno, was a tremendous asset. He assisted us in everything from stocking the fridge, to restaurant reservations, transportation, and tour bookings. He answered all inquiries quickly by email or WhatsApp. Thank you again Bruno!! There were a few areas that could use improvement (as noted by our whole group), but certainly did not deter from our satisfaction. There was only one set of towels per person for the week. A mid-week change would have been nice. The coffee pot (while a larger Moka pot) was not adequate for our heavy coffee drinkers. Also, need to specify correct pods for Nescafé coffeemaker. We would have lied to use the grill one evening, but realized we would need to supply charcoal (just a preparation note). We were also somewhat surprised by the length of time and cost of transportation to and from activities, but an easy trade-off for staying in this magnificent villa. Overall, we had an incredible, fun-filled and memorable week!

If you are looking for an authentic Massa Lubrense setting with amazing views of Capri, Ischia & the Bay of Naples then you will love this Villa. Spacious throughout, excellent pool, it has an un-manicured wow factor. In the midst of olive groves yet only a short distance to wide choice of good restaurants
