Villa Abajo

We have just returned from our week in this beautiful Villa. The photos do not do it justice. The house and gardens are immaculate. The pool is gorgeous, lovely and warm and bigger than we expected. It really was the perfect place to relax and unwind. We were greeted by our hosts (we arrived early as it wasn’t as far from the airport as I had anticipated, only about 30 minutes). Maria and her family were so lovely and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. There are shops near by, and lots of things to do but you will need a confident driver with you as some of the roads are a bit hair-raising, but ok once you have done it a few times. We would definitely love to come back again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this villa. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We absolutely loved staying here. The owners built the house by hand and there’s so much love and detail in the design. They are also lovely people. Their entire family lives on the same street. The house is very clean and comfortable. We loved laying by the pool and making dinner at home. The garden is stunning and there’s many places to sit and enjoy the weather. I would recommend they get cushions for the sun beds (they’re very hard now) and some more serving platters and bowls. The little road to the house is very narrow & steep, so a confident driver and not too big a car is recommended. We loved it here! Highly recommend!

Excellent séjour.

We loved our stay in vila Abajo! The garden and pool are wonderful and the house had all the comfort we needed. Close to Mijas, which is a lovely little town with nice restaurants. The road to the house is a bit adventurous, so you will need a car. The communication with the rental organisation and the owners was very good. We hope to come again here sometime!

The house is on a very beautiful location, it is so calm and peaceful. House was very clean and well equipped. We loved to stay there, kids were very happy.

Amazing place in the hills some 10 min by car from Mijas pueblo (total 20 min from Fuengirola). The garden is huge and on two levels, all with grass with many shady areas which is important in the hot summer. The pool is great for young kids (90-170 cm deep) but one can swim in it too. The barbecue area is great and shady, great for evening dinners under the sky too. The kitchen is fully equipped (to note the huge fridge and freezer) and the A/C in the three bedrooms (additional fee) came to good use in August as the house otherwise gets hot inside at the end of the day. Two cars easily parked in front of the house. There is no vis-a-vis from any part of the garden so we enjoyed complete privacy. Overall, accommodation was perfect.

This is a fantastic Villa that was very very clean, well kept and is in a great location for exploring the rest of Andalucía. The pool and the surrounding grounds are well kept and the barbecue/out door eating space was outstanding for lazy evenings of food, wine and family time. Ralph the host was exceptional making himself available to call's at any time ( I had to call him early on a Sunday morning). The views from the villa are fabulous with the most amazing sunsets! The whole week was one of the most laid back relaxing weeks I have had. The only very small fault for us was that we could of done with more bedding as it did get a little cold at night. We would without doubt return to this great Villa and I would like to thank the owner for a great stay!

Excellent house and lovely pool. Communication was smooth and everything went as planned. Will definitely recommend.

Nice villa situated in hills and car access a bit demanding from the driver at first but then you get used to it. Kitchenware was insufficent for 5 people and some basic tools and serving ware were totally missing. Good pool and very peaceful are with very nice views to the mountains. Some trouble to get warm water time to time.
