Updated 3 bedroom Villa in Shelter Cove with Community Pool

The Villa condo was the perfect size and location for our family vacation. The extra amenities (pool and hot tub) were an added bonus for our 9-year old granddaughter! I think she would still be floating around the pool if she could! Rooms were all clean and kitchen fully stocked with necessities for cooking and entertaining. Love the large bonus room with two beds. Thanks for helping create happy family memories.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 4 guys on a golf trip and looking for a place to stay. We didn't need fancy as we weren't planning on being in the unit except to sleep. The beds and couches were very comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and there was plenty of hot water for showers. The location, being mid-island, was great for access to everywhere on the island. We walked over to the HH Social kitchen for breakfast and the Mexican place for dinner. One thing to note is that this is a second floor unit with no elevator and there are additional stairs inside the unit. It wasn't a problem for us, but if you have mobility issues, you should go somewhere else. It's not on the beach, but overall, we were quite content and would stay here again

Shower is awkward to turn on without getting into tub. Takes long time for water to get hot. Vanity has no drawers. Toilet is ancient requires multiple flushes. Beds were comfortable but no drawers for clothes if a long stay. Pool area was lovely

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Loved that the location was easy walking distance to Shelter Cove, but expect a 13ish min bike to the beach. A few things “weren’t as they seemed” w/the unit.. for bath lovers, couldn’t get the tub faucet to work in the MBR, no lock on the second bedroom king sized BR, construction & sawdust underneath our unit all wk, mold on MBR ceiling. Thankful Hayley helped us figure out the unit had a “misprint” on sleeping 10 ppl. They quickly helped reimburse for an air mattress which our 6ft teen slept on all wk w/out complaint. The unit was reasonably priced so knowing that offset the complaints listed above. Just don’t expect updated bathrooms, but trendy decor & a pool out your door...

The balcony might even be better than the pictures show because there is a little sliver of the marina that you can see and watch boats go by and lots of birds and wildlife in the pond. The property itself is older, but this unit has had a lot of updates including new appliances that worked well. It was also very clean, and comfortable. The location is amazing, just walk across the property and you're at the Shelter Cove Marina with all the boating and kayaking activities that offers. It is also centrally located on the island so nothing is a far drive or bike ride away. The only thing I would caution is it is located up 2 flights of stairs so if someone has mobility issues that could be very difficult. The reward for that though is the views. Overall this is an excellent property in a great location that made for a very enjoyable week for our family of 4, 2 adults a 13 and 11 year old. Island Time was also great to work with and made everything easy. We would for sure return to this property when we come back to Hilton Head

I would like to see the rental company give you the option to rent chairs/bikes/umbrellas and not automatically add $150 to the rental fee. Most summer renters like our family bring their own.

Great condo. Clean and updated and right beside the pool. We would come back to this condo again. Plenty of room for my family and it has everything you would need for a great stay.

Reviewer Comments: This property looks good in the photos but doesn’t look as good in person. There were multiple issues with the condo aside from the fact that it needed a very thorough cleaning. The kitchen lacks storage space for food so we had to keep non-refrigerated food on the countertop and in a tote. The kitchen is not stocked very well (we could only find one sauce pan and no cookie sheet). There was mold on the ceiling and vent in the master bathroom. The walls were dirty. The rugs had not been vacuumed. The dining table was so small that it was tight for four people. The washing machine and dryer are stacked in a small closet and they were not joined together properly as the dryer was apart from the washer. The rental company was fantastic to deal with, but we will not rent this particular unit again.
