Stayed Dec 24, 2018We came 5 families and rented both villas: Dora and Holly during Christmas holiday time for two weeks. What amazes most is very friendly staff. They live in separate house and you do not notice them but they are always there when we needed. The place was garded, villas were cleaned each day, garden and swimming pool was taken care by local staff as well. Eunice who is manager of villas did the best to help with any arrangements. Very warm person. We also had cheff Mike who prepared food for us. African dishes were lovely and he was great in buying the best fruits which tasted like honey. You could see that he is working with all his heart and trying to do the best. Villas are surrounded by nice garden and swimming pool area is cozy. Villas are simple and look less luxurous than in the picture but were fine. They are 15 min walk from the beach and 10 min from the main street although it is not recommended to walk when it is dark thus, we used tuk tuk services during that time. We enjoyed our staying and recommend villas for others as well.

Stayed Aug 23, 2017We have had a very pleasant time in villa Dora, Diani beach. We have been in the house with 5 (2 adults and 3 children aged from 20 to 15) and there was plenty of space for everyone. The house is nice, the pool not too big but nice and clean and the staff very cooperative and helpful. The chef Daniel prepared excellent dinner and was always on time even staying late when needed, buying by himself all he need for dinner. He also prepare a BBQ by the the pool for us and our friends, and was perfect. Only problem some of the mosquito nets are a little small for the beds (the two king size beds at the first floor), so it was not possible to close them completely. The forniture is quite basic but complete. The distance to the beach is a bit longer than on the web-site (more than ten minutes walking) was mentioned, but still not far and during the day the surrounding are perfectly safe (boys could go to the beach alone without problems). In the night it not advisable to go around on foot, also because there is no light at all outside the villa. Taxi is suitable Supermarket not far but not walking distance, ten minute by car or tuk tuk, (which is the easier and cheapest way for going round during the day)

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We have had a wonderful time in villa Dora, Diani beach. The house is nice, the pool perfect and the staff very cooperative. Problems that we've had with the tap, were solved directly. The distance to the beach is a bit longer than on the web-site was mentioned, but still not far. We have been in the house with 7 adults and there was plenty of space for everyone.

Stayed Jul 20, 2016We were two friends staying for 10 nights in July on our first trip to Kenya. Flying from Nairobi to Ukunda airstrip, we were picked up and driven about 15 minutes to this wonderful villa. It's located in a very secluded spot yet still convenient with generally very little noise and surrounded by a plethora of plants and trees (more so now than the pictures suggest). Pros: Excellent value for money Great for a peaceful break Staff are very polite and helpful Spacious Convenient location for the beach, supermarket and restaurants The pool (be aware chlorine is used to clean it but it was well maintained) Security - we felt very safe at all times The BBQ - a must use with locally sold fish and prawns to your door Very easy to book a taxi or walk 5 mins to get a Tuk Tuk, which are MUCH cheaper Plenty of glasses, dishes and utensils to cook with but the oven/grill didn't work. The gas hob worked just fine. The villa was cleaned regularly by the staff Cons: Electricity often cut out for the first few days and the generator had to be used, which is very noisy. It improved later on in our stay Wifi not reliable especially with several people connected as it is shared by 2 villas in the compound (we planned all of our day trips at the villa so it was difficult to research them some days to work out what we wanted to do - better to buy a local sim and use data as back-up) Not a huge issue but very few basics are supplied (we had to buy bin bags, hand soap, washing up liquid and additional toilet paper). The Nakumat supermarket isn't far to buy these items and is on the way from the nearby airstrip or Mombasa. Tours/trips: Marco Polo agency is 5 mins away and recommended for safaris as we did an excellent overnight one in Tsavo East (highlight of the holiday). Day trips to Mombasa etc can be on the pricey side though. Overall, we had a lovely stay and I would recommend the villa to anyone and especially to those wishing to have privacy and generally a relaxing stay in Diani. . Silvio the owner was also very helpful and responsive to emails. Very much looking forward to returning in the near future.

Stayed Nov 20, 2015My stay with my family was very enjoyable the property manager and all her staff were very attentive and went above and beyond the call of duty we arrived late due to taking the train arriving at 4 am instead of 9pm there was a taxi waiting for us and warm inviting smiles and a cocktail upon arrival chef Musau made the best dishes ever and was always on time even staying late when needed the owner has built a beautiful Villa only thing I can suggest is fixing the mesh on the windows and some of the mosquito nets had some holes so new ones would be nice. Also air conditioning would be nice the ceiling fans cannot keep up with the heat at night I will definitely be coming back next time I'm in mombasa.
