Important NOTES first: Please don't click the booking button, unless you have heard from us, as we want to know that we will both be happy with the fit. Our home, yard, and neighborhood are in great shape. You look out front to a grassy church yard, where the church sits way back, so you mostly see beautiful, established tress and sometimes Egret/Ibis birds. Our Bookings are low, due to the limited times we chose to rent it. FEBRUARY 2025 and beyond are now available. The guests who have stayed have been pleased.

This is our nostalgic, 1340 square -foot, 'Old Florida' villa, with a mailbox at street. There is a laundry room on site and a coin operated on a mile away. Across the front of the villa is a cozy sunroom that overlooks a peaceful setting - a grassy area in the front yard with a large oak tree for shade. The sunroom has 2 comfortable chairs for reading and relaxing with your morning coffee. There is also a desk where you can keep your laptop set up. A covered patio area, with a small table, chairs and gas grill, is in a private enclosed garden area and backyard area for sunning. Beach chairs and towels are there for your use. There is a laundry room in the back of the carport. The villa is quaint and charming. It is only 2 miles to Siesta Key beach access and 5 miles to the public beach. Turtle Beach is at the South end of Siesta Key. A state-of-the-art county library. A public golf course is 1/2 mile and 1 mile to Publix's and pharmacy, and 2 miles to several restaurants, bookstore, Stein Mart, Marshall's, etc. and Sarasota Mall nearby. This is a quiet, residential neighborhood, and an excellent location to everything. A very nice, comfortable place to spend the winter. Sorry, no pets or smoking. Security deposit is required. Thank you.

The villa is furnished with your needs in mind. It has a 42' flat screen TV, and small TV in twin bedroom, wireless Wi-Fi, DVD player, washer and dryer, microwave, coffee maker, 2 hair dryers, iron and ironing board, hopefully all needed kitchen items. There are ceiling fans in every room. 2 Bicycles are for rent.

There is a charming element to this older home in a deed-restricted area of Sarasota. Location is near stores, businesses, gyms, restaurants, golf courses, Siesta Key Beach, bike trails, churches, etc.. Biking is possible to many of these locations, and the area is conducive to an evening walk through the neighborhood. The home is graced by the owner's artwork and the enclosed front porch is a great place to work on your computer, read, watch passers-by, etc.. If you appreciate the charm of an older home and want to be centrally located to all that Sarasota offers, you'll enjoy your stay at this home.

The decor of the house is basically original art by one of the owners. This sets off the artistic approach of the property. This is a Florida retirement house with 2 bedrooms and large closets. The neighborhood is quiet with a church across the street. Many restaurants are located down Gulfgate Drive about a mile away. They should be checked out as several of them are very good.

Rented the Old Florida Villa for three months and couldn't have been happier. House was in great shape, and contained everything that one would need for an extended stay. Just the right amount of space for two people, with that extra bedroom for guests who seem to want to visit you when you are in Florida. When we did have some questions, the owners were immediately responsive. The location was excellent for us. Wonderful quieter neighborhood, just down the street from the Gulfgate library. Very easy access (including walking) to many stores and restaurants. Also Costco and the Sarasota Square Mall down the street, and close to the YMCA which we joined for the time we were there. We were close to the beaches of Siesta Key and and not far from Casey Key and Venice which also have nice beaches. The house is about 20 minutes from Downtown, a convenient drive to get to such things as the Florida Studio Theater and the Opera House. We would certainly rent this home again and would recommend it to anyone who was looking for a place to spend some time in Sarasota. Actually I must add that my wife and I liked it so much that we have decided to move to Sarasota!! Indeed, we will be renting another house close by.

I met up with two of my college friends for a mini reunion weekend of fun! The cozy bungalow atmosphere was perfect for our stay. Everything was so clean and we had everything we needed. There is a grocery store right down the road and the beaches and shops are within biking distance or a quick drive.

Our home away from home was clean and well-maintained, a great neighborhood to take walks and bicycle. You might even see a Sandhill Crane on your journey. The home is in close proximity to restaurants and the beach.

A+ for this appealing, alluring and attractive villa. What an awesome experience to simply totally relax and absorb the beauty of this delightful home. I am still so impressed with all of the magnificent original paintings. My very favorite is the girls at the beach which hangs inside the front door. The owner has supplied great books for reading and so many other touches to make you feel at home. As far as location, you could not ask for more as it is close to every convenience and best of all, the beach! The neighborhood is quiet and family oriented. The villa is unblemished, clean and comfortable. Looking back at the VRBO site, it is everything the owner said it would be. I will most definitely be back. P.S. I adore the llittle side enchanting garden.

My husband and I stayed in this charming villa in December. Everything was immaculate and well maintained. Much of the furniture was new and the decor, with all of the original art, was delightful. We felt like we were in someone's well loved home. The sunroom was a perfect place to read and work on the computer. The king size bed in our bedroom was even more comfortable than ours at home. The kitchen was well outfitted and the outdoor space was very private and perfect for grilling and relaxing. The villa is close to everything; shopping, restaurants, and beaches. The owner couldn't have been nicer. We will definitely be returning.
