The Palms - Spacious Private Villa For Family Fun & Relaxation

Outstanding ! We spent 10 days at the palms and enjoyed every minute.We arrived earlier than expected as we decided to drive from Leicester to the villa over two days Audrey kindly allowed us to check in early and met us at the villa later in the afternoon. Communication was first class from the time of booking to the time of arrival. We are a family of 9, kids ages ranging from 5 up to 14. There is so much space for us all, at times we were looking for each other. The pool was a massive attraction for us, grant the pool guy came twice a week and is a very nice chap to talk to. Each morning I cleaned the leafs out the pool with the provided pool scoop as there are a lot trees around the villa. I think some people in these reviews expect the hosts to do this for you ! Yes the tiles around the pool are a bit sharp but we laid 2 beach towels over the edges by the steps and problem solved. The bbq area provides a great shaded area through out the dayEvery thing you could possibly need is provided, tv, internet, kitchen utensils etc. Having a car is a must due to the location, because we drove our own car there we were able to go and explore the local towns and villages and also a few trips to Salou. This gives you the best of both worlds, lots to do near by in the evening and a fantastic private villa during the day. I can’t fault the place or Audrey who is a very friendly and professional host. 100% will be booking again

We were met by Audrey who showed us around and it was really a wow. There was everything we could have wanted for a perfect holiday. It was clean- no having to wash everything before we started. The Palms was a bit too big for the two of us but for a couple of families it is perfect. Having said that - it was lovely to have the extra space. The garden was secure for our dog - at least once each day she would show off doing zoomies right around the villa. The pool was amazing as the temperature started rising as we went into June. All in all it was a wow - well worth repeating.

Lovely large property well equiped and clean great host you need a car because of location but its quiet rural location makes it peaceful and relaxing really enjoyed our week.

We do not recommend this place for a very important reason: the attitude of the owners, who probably never hosted a family with a small 4 years old child. We always clean everything before we leave. Unfortunately, at the end of our unhappy vacation 150-euro deposit was charged with the reason we left the house dirty (which was not the situation – the arguments were just ridiculous and not fair). We suppose that this is some tactical behavior from the owners to earn more money from the guests. We are small family with 1 kid and not a partying group of 10 drunk students. Here is our short summary: 1) The pool itself has sharp edges usually there are tiles or a special pool frame. This makes it dangerous to leave the pool especially for kids. During our stay of 10 days and taking into consideration that this May 2023 in Spain was very windy and stormy, the swimming pool was NEVER cleaned by the swimming service. We never experienced something like this before. Usually there is always a cleaning service at least 1x in the week who is coming and when the weather is bad good holiday owners are sending the cleaning service extra to make the stay of the guests as comfortable as possible but this was not the case. Even at the arrival the pool was dirty and with small rocks inside. Of course, after so much storm and wind the pool was extremely dirty at the end. The owners criticized us for a couple of small toys left in the pool (which were taken away by the stormy wind in the night

A group of 7 of us (aged 26-27) stayed here for a week. It was perfect for us. Lovely pool and outside eating area where we spent our time at home. Had lovely meals at an Argentinian restaurant down the road (very good steak!) and at Esmarelda’s which was a short drive or a 40ish minute walk. Also a lovely beach in walking distance where we built an awesome sand castle (still kids at heart). Terragona and the near by aquaduct are worth a visit and we had a fun day at Port Abentura Land. Also lovely mountains close by which some of the boys explored.

Just returned from a special family celebration in this charming villa. We were a group of 9, grandparents, two sets of parents and 3 teenagers. There was a lot of room and lots of places to relax but never feeling crowded. The villa is a 5 minute car ride from the village which is very pretty with a number of cafes/ restaurants to choose from. The pool was a real attraction for us. We did find the cooker a little difficult and the electricity cut off while cooking was in progress a few times. It was very hot while we were there and the lack of air conditioning in the downstairs bedrooms meant nights could be rather sticky but it did not spoil our overall enjoyment of our surroundings. We would recommend the villa and the lovely places to visit in the surrounding area.

We have had our family holidays in Spain for many years now and every time we rent a villa. Therefore, I can safely say that this villa was perfectly in line with my family's expectations. The villa is very spacious and has everything you would expect and more. Closed area is one of the advantages of having a vacation with children and dogs. I'm grateful to the villa owners for the villa's entertainment such as the wii console, dvd collection, table football and etc., which was very helpful when it came to taking breaks from the pool. I must mention that the communication was great, Audrey & Richard are a great team. We will definitely be back there next year ! Virginia

Thanks very much to Audrey and Richard for our stay at their villa. We stayed with another family, in total there were 4 adults and 4 kids. The villa is large enough that you don’t feel as if you are on top of one another. The outdoor space is huge and the kids had a great time playing hide and seek both indoor and out. Outside pool was lovely and when I had to call Audrey to say the pool needed cleaning, Richard was around within the hour to sort it out. No quibbles. TV package was very good, full sky English channels and there are lots of games to keep the kids entertained. Parts of the villa were worn, upstairs patio sun blind was weather beaten/ripped and some of patio chairs by the bbq could do with replacing. Kitchen could have had a little more attention to detail, no dish cloths to wipe sides down and oven and blinds were not the cleanest. Perhaps a nice suggestion would be to provide a welcome pack with some essentials: milk, ham, bread and a large bottle of water on arrival in the fridge after a long travel but just being picky. You definitely need a car. You are very isolated with the nearest shop around a mile away. Beach is roughly a 15-20 min walk in the heat. No restaurants within walking distance. Luckily there were no further bookings until Saturday and Audrey and Richard were kind enough to let us stay until 1500 instead of leaving at 1000 at no extra charge. Having that time made a huge difference to our last day. Overall we had a great time. Pool lovely, plenty to do in villa for kids. Communication leading up to our holiday was great and nothing was an issue for them to sort out. Thanks again.

Cannot say anything negative. It was perfect! Audrey is very very friendly, helpful and accomodating. In the Villa there was EVERYTHING one needs for vacation. No wish remains unfulfiled! I'm very sure it was not our one and only stay there. We're coming back. Promise ✌?

The property was nice and clean and had everything it promised on the site. The airconditioning and everything else worked fine and we had a very relaxing holiday. We can absolutely recommend this property!
