The Explorer's Club - South Pool/Spa, Gated Area!

We had an amazing time at The Explorer’s Club. Everything was perfect. We especially enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The childproof gate is a plus and easy to operate. Very spacious townhome in a beautiful neighborhood. We look forward to our next visit to The Explorer’s Club!

Check in process was easy. Yet gate security did have electronic problems during our stay where we had to get re registered at the gate. House was great with all the amenities one may need during a stay. WiFi access was quick and easy. Although not sure if smart tv’s were connected to WiFi cause my family and I were having trouble with cable connecting. But we solved it. One tv in the “space” themed room did not want to work with the remote. Game room was a very nice surprise. My family and I spent some time playing basketball and billiards on our non park days. Beds and pillows were comfortable except some members of my family did wake up with lower back soreness due to bed springs. Having our own personal pool and covered patio was great! My younger niece was in the pool almost everyday. My family and I had morning coffee outside when temperatures weren’t too high. All in all we had a lovely stay and are missing it already. Thank you so much for making our vacation stay more special.

Management (Gerry) was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. Check in was easy, the kitchen was nice to use and they did have wifi. Concerns:- Neighborhood—my wife and daughter were taking a walk and didn’t feel comfortable with some of the locals. And there is an 11pm curfew in the neighborhood and someone had a house party thumping well past that just behind the house.

This was a great place for our family to have a spring break getaway. The whole reservation and check-in process couldn’t possibly be any easier. Everything you need is provided in the house. It’s a quick drive to Disney World and the other parks, as well as Disney Springs. There are also many stores and restaurants very close by. We would stay here again!

Enjoyed our moms weekend away

The property was beautiful, and the kitchen was well stocked with appliances to be able to cook when needed. The owner was very responsive and answered all questioned quickly. My kids loved the pool as well. The pool had lots of safety features to try and prevent drowning that we didn’t need but appreciated it for those that do need them with younger kids.

This was a clean house with all amenities as listed. We were a family of 7 and we had ample space. There were TVs and cable in each room. Play room in garage was a huge hit! Kids loved the hot tub after the parks and I love to take a dip in the morning. The kitchen was very functional. Kids loved to get to the club house to play basketball and Ping pong! Communication with Gerry was great. We requested adjustment to thermostats and he obliged right away. All in all, this is a great place. I-4 is always backed up so it takes about 40 min to universal and 20-25 for Disney. We loved being here and we will definitely stay again.

We had a fantastic stay at this property and Gerry was extremely helpful in answering questions and providing recommendations for food and activities in the area. The pool temperature was perfect. We highly recommend this property and will look to stay here again in the future!

It was acceptable and very accommodating. Several things thought out. It did get very cold one night and we had no access to turn on heat. Thankfully there was additional blankets. I wish there was a way to contact someone who can override and turn heat on.

Great house. Minor issues delt with immediately. 10 out of 10.

First of all, I have stayed in Windsor Hills a few times and this is one of the best gated communities in the area and very close to the Disney parks. This house was great. Super clean and comfortable. There is also a fully stocked kitchen if you want to stay in but lots of great restaurants in the area if you like to dine out. The pool and hot tub were awesome. Paid a little extra and had the pool heated and it was the perfect temp every time we went in. Well worth it and a great end to a long day at the park. Finally Gerry the owner was great to deal with. So quick to respond to any questions and just overall provided a great experience. This is a great house and I would rent it again if available.

The Explorer’s Villa had loads of space, and was beautifully decorated and clean. Pool was good size, perfect temperature and hot tub very relaxing. (Even pool towels are supplied) Wifi was plenty fast enough, and multiple tvs had plenty of streaming options (Disney, Netflix, Amazon Prime etc) The game room was fun! Beds were very comfortable with great ensuites. Kitchen large, and fully equipped. Nice to have the starter pack of toiletries, toilet paper, and kitchen kit. Villa is in a quiet gated complex, great location for visiting theme parks (all within 30mins drive) Space Centre (80 mins) and the coast. Lots of restaurants, takeaways, and shopping within 10-15mins drive! Recommend Cracker Barrel breakfasts, and for quick meals Raisin’ Cane chicken, Steak & Shake diner, Sickies Garage diner burgers, Culvers, and Panda Express. For more relaxed meals Bahama Breeze, and Cowfish (in Universal’s City Walk) It was quick and easy to communicate with the very helpful owner Gerry, and he had lots of useful suggestions for restaurants etc. He was also able to arrange a later check-out for us! (Pillows are quite soft and lumpy, that’s the only criticism) Had a problem with loud noise from some equipment on the wall of the neighbouring villa, just outside the window of our main bedroom (pool heater or aircon unit maybe) We told Gerry and he passed it on to the management company of the community, who sent a tech. Was not solved while we were there, but Gerry is sorting!

What fantastic hosts and property. This was our 4th visit to the area from the UK, so I knew the resort/location would be perfect, but Gerry’s exceptional hosting made all the difference. Any query or question we had was answered and/or actioned immediately, and as guests travelling from the U.K., we appreciated Gerry’s patience and flexibility. Property was great. Lovely pool/jacuzzi and everything we needed. Welcome pack was much appreciated too! Would definitely recommend to a friend.

Gerry is a wonderful host! We had a minor issue with the pool (really not a big deal!). He answered right away and a fews hours later, the pool guy came and fixed it. The place is clean, the gated community is safe and very quiet. It’s close to the parks. I definitely recommend the place for a family stay!

The location of this property is great! My family loved the quiet neighborhood and the pool was definitely a favorite. The kitchen was equipped with everything you need and I appreciated that there was a hair dryer I could use!

This was the perfect space for our family vacation to Disney. There are two masters with adjoining bathrooms (we included my parents) and the two bedrooms with twin beds have a bathroom in between. Everything was as described. Check In was a breeze and check out was a breeze. We would return if we wanted to do Disney again.
