Stayed Feb 6, 2025Come for the spectacular views, stay for the best home cooking with Sarah at the helm! The villa does require a few upgrades but we had a great time and hardly ever wanted to leave for town! The help was as good as it gets. Highly recommended.

Stayed Feb 24, 2024A group of friends went with me to celebrate my birthday and we had the time of our lives, without ever really leaving the property except for a couple of errands and dinner (which Gabriel and Sara helped recommend and set up for us). The house is stunning, and incredibly maintained. The staff are some of the best people we’ve ever encountered, their service meticulous and recommendation for food and activities 10/10. And the food from Chef Sara was just outstanding. Seriously they made our stay so much more special, making sure we always had what we needed and had a good time. We will for sure be back to Casa Patricia as soon as we can, the stay is one that will stay with us forever.

Stayed Dec 28, 2019- we were a group of ten: 6 adults and 4 kids. We had inflatable beds set up in two rooms for the kids, so we only used 3 of the 4 bedrooms. All the bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. - Sara is a terrific chef and all the meals were very good: varied menus, healthy options, lots of fresh fruit, fresh-squeezed orange juice in the mornings, delicious salsas, guacamole and chips for snacks between meals, always something the kids loved. Sara also made some delicious desserts for the birthdays we celebrated. - dining was always fun with everyone seated at the big round table facing each other, with a special outside table for two dining al fresco. - Gabriel was a terrific host, always cheerful, attentive, and anticipating our needs, finding us fun activities, picking us up from the beach, making special trips for us to Puerto Vallarta, and even taking us on a visit to Edenva where they filmed the movie Predator. - the property is at the top of a long, steep, windy road in a gated community. On the plus side, it’s the highest point on the hill so the views are spectacular, but it also means that getting to/from the beach involves a 15-20 min walk down the hill and back, or getting a ride/taxi (something to keep in mind if you have bad knees) - getting to/from the airport: our only negative experience was getting from the airport to Casa Patricia. We had arranged for a driver to meet us outside the airport, but because of the unpredictable nature of airline travel, we were an hour late arriving. During this time, the driver left to pick up and drop off another group. He must have underestimated how long that would take because by the time we finally did get out of the airport, we waited an hour and a half outside (in the rain) for the driver to show up again. This was a really unpleasant start to our trip. Our advice is to decline a driver for your arrival and instead take an Uber to Casa Patricia. The price for a group of 4 will be similar and you won’t have to wait more than a couple of minutes. Heading BACK to the airport is a different story; Gabriel will set you up with a driver and they’ll be ready to go when you’re ready. - overall, Casa Patricia is a fantastic getaway and we loved every minute of it. Highly recommended!

Stayed Aug 10, 2019Pros: - Perfect bedroom configuration for large groups - we had a party of 12 and it accommodated us very well - 4 teenage boys in a humongous room, 4 teenage girls in 2 different bedrooms, and two couples in two different bedroom - Excellent pool layout with several seating areas, sun and shade - The views were amazing from every room, with 180 + degree views of the mountains, ocean, Mismaloya, thunderstorms, etc. - It cost around $1500 total for 8 days of amazing meals everyday and a lot of top-shelf alcohol - Most of all are the three amazing staff. Sarah, Gabriel, and Maria- everything is cared for - Meals-excellent food options, preparation, and presentation - Housekeeping and laundry was timely and immaculate - Every single transportation or other need was cared for Recommendations - email several days ahead to have pantry stocked with everything that you need, even sunscreen if you don’t want to bring yours, or pool toys Only Con was that you have to put all toilet paper and personal sanitary items in the trash, which can definitely be gross, and it took some getting used to Again, we were here in August so as we were in Mismaloya it was damn hot and muggy. Mosquitos were a factor that was compensated for with bug spray. We learned that it was not optional. We did two days of fishing in the bay with Chipol from Mismaloya Adventures. He is awesome. Lots of fish which Sarah prepares in different ways. Chartered a catamaran with Adrian and crew for the day. Awesome trip. If you need his number I can share.
