Stayed Mar 8, 2026We were extremely disappointed with this rental and would not stay here again.When we arrived, the condition of the home was unacceptable. There were boogers on the walls, the bed frame was yellow and clearly not cleaned properly, and the overall cleanliness of the house was far below what you would expect from a rental property. It honestly felt like the home had not been properly maintained or inspected before guests arrived.We paid for the pool heated, when we arrived it was freezing cold and missing about 6 of water, making it unusable for our family. We called maintenance and they said the owner knows and hasn't addressed the issues. There were cracked tiles leading to the pool area, which felt unsafe, and several of the pool chairs were broken.To make matters worse, the front door would not lock, which is a serious safety concern for any family staying in a rental home.While the host eventually refunded a small portion related to the pool heater, it did not come close to addressing the overall condition of the property or the inconvenience we experienced during our stay. Multiple issues were raised and the response we received minimized the problems rather than resolving them.Overall, the home was poorly maintained, not clean, and not as advertised. We expected a relaxing vacation and instead spent the first part of our stay dealing with problems that should have been addressed long before we arrived.Do NOT stay here.

Stayed Dec 23, 2020We were drawn to this property for a few reasons...the number of folks it could accommodate, it was pet friendly, & simply gorgeous on the internet. Upon arrival, we had to check in with security which was an extremely long line, but we were pumped up about our vacation, so this didn’t matter much. However, once we arrived at our unit we couldn’t get into it, because the access code we were initially provided didn’t work. It took almost an hour before we were able to contact someone that could assist us with getting into the property. As we entered the property we were thinking this is very nice, but as we continued to walk through realized several areas needed some TLC, such as the sofa was worn down & needed to be replaced, towel & toilet paper racks or bars were not mounted to the wall properly, one of the beds upstairs appeared to be on its LAST legs literally...this is just to name a few. We also noticed that the trash wasn’t emptied and even though we reported it, no one ever came out to empty it. Therefore, whenever we dumped trash we only had use of half of the outside trash can. Lastly, we developed a leak with the kitchen faucet around 11 pm on Christmas Day. The problem was, maintenance came out to shut off the water and said that they would replace the faucet first thing the next morning, but no one showed up until 3:35 pm the next afternoon. So we had to go get breakfast & order in lunch. But wouldn’t you know after such a LONG wait, the faucet was never replaced just some surrounding items to help seal it. Guess what? The faucet started leaking again about 5 hours after the repairman left. At this point I gave up since I was leaving the next day. I WILL NEVER use SWEET HOME VACATION rental again. However, Blue Ribbon Property Maintenance was great!
