Solara Resort 9 bed South Facing Pool!

Our family of 9 (3 adult children with their spouses and one 18 month old) all loved this place! The view out the back patio was a field, which was lovely. The pool was nice (cold as we stayed in January, but worth it for all but two of us) with a good gate and outdoor seating. The great room was expansive with a big table, large sectional, 2 comfortable chairs, but with open sliding patio doors open to the lanai it was even bigger and better. The garage is a game room, the foosball and pool tables were in the great room (not crowded) and the upstairs couch seating was super comfortable. Plentiful bedrooms, a decently stocked kitchen, W/D left everyone room to be all together or find a quiet spot. Plenty of warm water for showers, though the pressure was only fair. Beds were very comfortable. When the pool wasn’t warming up, property management sent out a pool service who resolved the issue - a dirty filter plus was set too low (75 when temp should have been 85-89). Note: a “spa” is not a hot tub, so don’t expect “hot” (news to me). If we come back to Orlando (parks were not overfill and the weather was pleasant for our January stay), we would stay here again.

The resort is beautiful, the house is spacious and well designed, however it was not cleaned properly We took off our shoes at the door, and walked around with our socks By evening, our socks were black with dirt I tried mopping the floor ,in quick time, the mop was very dirty The house sleeps 21 persons, but the refrigerator is a regular size for a family of 6 A lot of our perishable items spoilt, as there was no space to keep them in the fridge There was also a small fridge, the size of a small wine chiller ,but again, it couldnt hold much We couldnt get the internet to work,nor access the wifi Apparently, the service was bad throughout the entire area We were able to pick a free network, once we stepped outside Having said all of this, these negatives couldnt change the fact that the house was very accomodating, and at no time did you feel over crowded So, to sum it up The stay was fantastic,the kids used the basketball court, the gymn, the pool, the restaurant Great Place, Great Vacation Suggestions: Get a bigger Refrigerator, and get a professional cleaner

They charge $450 to heat the private pool and $150 to use the grill. Told us just before we came. Vaccumed 2 canisters full of dirt when we arrived. Other than that it was a nice property.

The property and neighborhood were okay. The home was dated (worn carpet, old furniture, older appliances), but functional for our needs (brief stay for a youth soccer tournament). The 3-star rating is due to a few issues that affected our stay. First, one bedroom had ceiling damage and with a heavy rain would leak. The bed was wet at check in. I was told it would be fixed and that we could use a hairdryer and/or the dryer to dry the mattress and sheets in the meantime. We did this. The issue was never fixed and the ceiling leaked again during our stay with another rain. We had 21 guests, but only 7 towels were provided (one in each bathroom and two pool towels in the laundry room). I told the property manager and a few more towels were provided. We still had to purchase 12 towels to accommodate all the guests. The coffee machine wasn’t functioning. The property company brought over a “mini brew” coffee maker, fit to serve 2-3 cups of coffee. When I brought this to the attention of the manager, she responded that this was all they had to bring. Thankfully, we fixed the coffee maker later in the week. The bottom of the pool had a green algae coat and was slippery. It took three days for this to be addressed. Finally, there was a leaking ac unit in the garage/game room. This was reported and was addressed quickly. Overall, this felt like a home that hadn’t been used in a while that was just given a cursory glance prior to the rental.

Bonni was excellent, communication before and during the stay, assisting with any problems that arose. Our family has a fab time in the Villa, with so much fun in the pool and on the resort, will definitely be returning very soon

Overall the property was great. There were a few hiccups but nothing we could not handle. A few issues we all had was the signal in the home, re the internet. And the dryer in the home needs some updating. The Neighborhood was awesome, very convenient parking. Thanks Bonni , I will be renting again !!!
