Stayed Jul 7, 2024We stayed here in July for the second half of our trip in St. Lucia and we couldn’t be happier! The home was so cozy and comfortable and the decor/style was beautiful! The owner was so easy to communicate with and the property manager met us at the home to show us around. He went above and beyond to make us comfortable and even brought us lighter fluid when none was to be found in any grocery store. Everything you need to cook and relax is in the home. The road and driveway up to the house is a bit scary but after doing it once, it’s easy. There are a lot of steps to get up to the house but it’s not so bad once you’re up and see the most gorgeous views of the ocean and Pitons! Soufrière was such a sweet town and the people are amazing. The home is open air with portable cooling fans but it’s not so bad (even for people like us that like sleeping in temps of 66-67 degrees). All the beds had mosquito nets and we were never bit at night while sleeping, so that was a plus! The only complaint we had was not booking this house for a longer stay! Thank you, Leon, for hosting us!

Stayed Dec 28, 2023The views from this house are unbeatable! We loved being able to sit and take in the Piton views all day long. The new deck was spectacular and perfect for daily yoga. Our family enjoyed our week at this villa with a comfortably stocked kitchen and plenty of open air space. The driveway was a fun challenge, but manageable. Thank you to Shonda for checking on us and keeping the kitchen tidy.

Stayed Feb 18, 2023Fabulous location, but you will need to get drives to Soufriere as the site is up in the steep hills. Zack was the hero for us. He was Leons driver, but ended up being our property manager, general tour guide and friend , he organized drives for us and also cooked us a sublime meal with his lovely wife. Zack is essential as the property manager is effectively non existent. Leon is not a great communicator so you may find you have to repeatedly ask him questions as often no response provided, but he does eventually get there. The kitchen is very sparsely equipped for such an expensive rental and he would do well to add more dishes, measuring cups etc. But don't let that put you off, these are minor complaints ( which hopefully will be corrected soon) and the place really is a slice of heaven. Highly recommended

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The property was even better than pictured. Clean, lovely, comfortable. We didn’t anticipate how unwalkable the area is due to mountains and narrow winding roads. However property manager arranged a driving service which was very attentive and responsive. The cost was slightly higher than car rental for the week, and much easier.

Stayed Jan 5, 2019Loved everything about this villa and the team that help run it. Communication with Leon has been great from the moment we booked. David the villa manager and his team helped us get around and gave us plenty of information on what to do, where to go and eat etc. The view is simply incredible and all rooms lead out on to the balcony facing the Pitons, the smallest Piton being closest. We were absolutely blown away by the view and the pictures do not do enough justice! Recommend a hike up Gros Piton which looks daunting but ok to do at 7am when it is cooler. We spent most of our time eating in Soufriere as it was a 5 minute drive from the villa ($20EC in a taxi for 4 adults). We walked it in 35 minutes as it is a steep yet beautiful road to go down. Highly recommend Fedo’s, Petit Peak and Sea View Creole Restaurant for lunch. Hummingbird Restaurant was nice but overpriced for being the beach side of the bridge. We went to Anse Chastanet for the day and ate lunch at he beach restaurant. This is the location of Jade Mountain where you pay $11US for snorkelling which was great! Anse Chastenet is close to the villa but a rough road to go on so recommend a water taxi. We paid $80EC each way. The taxi is the same price but a really rough road and taxi drivers are reluctant at to take people there. Marigot Bay we drove to which was also stunning and a short drive from the villa as was Anse De La Raye. Recommend hiring a 4x4 as you will struggle getting around otherwise and spend a fortune on cabs. You can see the sulphur springs from the villa which is another must do as well. The tour which is a combined cost of $30EC but transport is on top. We also did the Toraille waterfall which was beautiful yet cold so go to the one by Sugar Beach. Sugar Beach was another great day out. Pay $50US entry in to the resort and they credit this back to you to spend at the restaurant on the beach which was incredible. You can snorkel at the bottom on the Petit Piton for $10US. Take towels to sit on unless you want to pay $50US to hire a beach lounger for the day. There are free chairs the other side of the beach but slightly lesser unpleasant atmosphere with the local husslers hanging around you. This is somewhere we’d love to come back and stay especially as the hospitality was great. The villa can also organise catering for an extra charge which we would have taken advantage of but spent so much time exploring and eating out. 10/10 location and accommodation.

Stayed Feb 13, 2018From the beginning our experience with our host was amazing. Leon was very easy to communicate with and answered any questions my fiancé or I had about the house, property, and surrounding area of Soufriere. He really guided us in the right direction. All of the people who watched the property and looked over us and helped us out with a car rental, boat charter, hiking guide etc. were amazing people! They were all very warm and welcoming right from our first meeting and throughout our entire trip. We had an amazing time in Soufriere and Rainbow Heights and now call the people who Leon directed us to or had take care of the property as our friends now. It was an absolutely SURREAL stay in Rainbow Heights/Soufriere! I proposed on top of the Gros Piton after hiking the Petit and the Gros in the same day with my fiancé. Leon heard about this through our mutual friends and went out of his way to set up an engagement dinner for my fiancé and I at Orlando’s. I really can’t thank Leon enough for his kindness and for setting us up with such a beautiful home! Soufriere is amazing and there’s plenty to do in the local area. My fiancé and I did ALOT of fishing and exploring on differnt charter and friends boats. We had an epic trip on my fiancé’s birthday and brought in 3 blue marlin, plenty of yellowfin tuna and 2 wahoo. We grilled up fresh fish many times at Leon’s home and also had one of our friends who is a chef/owner at Hummingbird Resort cook my fiancé and I the best tuna dinner I’ve ever had! We started we tuna ceviche, tuna cakes, and finally grilled tuna. The rest of the fish that we couldn’t eat we made sure to share with all of our new friends in Soufriere who made such an impact on my fiancé and I in such a short amount of time. We stayed at Rainbow Heights for 16 days and I already want to go back! The people, countryside, and the Ocean are amazing and I would highly recommend staying at Leon’s Home in Soufriere. It all started with a few conversations between him and I and the rest is history. It was a pleasure having him as our host and we treated his home as if it were ours. I can’t get over all the differnt sights, exploring, adventures, and friendships that we experienced and begun while we were in St Lucia. I could go on and on about the great hikes, the Pitons, the people, rainforest and even volcano.Rainbow Heights was a great home base for us to do it all. My Fiancé and I definitely plan on coming back, thanks Leon!

Stayed Dec 9, 2017Very comfortable villa with stunning view of the pitons. Great location for access to good snorkeling, hiking, and other sights. Villa staff is friendly and helpful. The site above the town of Soufriere can occasionally be a little noisy, but the location and view more than make up for that slight annoyance. Would strongly recommend getting a rental car to be able to visit the sights and dining out. The owner recommended a local renter that worked very well.
