Pool, sea view, WLAN, well-kept garden

Villa Hestia is in a fantastic location, with spectacular views and a breathtaking panorama. Everything is new and the amenities meet every need. We were seven adults and had rooms and private bathrooms for couples and singles. The pool is sunny and constantly cleaned. Elounda, the nearest town, has everything we needed: supermarkets, restaurants, and so on. The villa's location is strategic for reaching any site or beach you want to visit, so you can reach both the east and south coasts, or Heraklion in reasonable time. We had such a great time that we hope to return.

The villa is superb - spacious and well equiped. The view down to Elounda from the pool area is wonderful and the whole pool area and barbecue is perfect for people to gather around.

We had a fabulous week at Villa Hestia! The views are to die for and the house is well equipped and spacious enough to comfortably fit our party of 9 (four children). The check in process is a little clumsy given the location of the property and that it can be difficult to find. We arrived in two separate groups and my family were able to find it using coordinates on google maps (eliminating need to meet Julian in Elounda in my opinion). Additionally, checking out was a little silly in that we needed to meet Julian to hand in the keys because all he did was tell us to leave them on the table. It was a waste of his time to have him drive up the mountain and added to our departure stress. The only real negative was the house cleaning. They arrived at 5pm which is the exact time most guests are trying to get ready for the evening ahead. In the instruction book it said they would not change bed linens so we had all left things on our beds only to find they were indeed changing the linens. They were extremely thorough which is great but they were occupying all spaces of the house for over 2 hours. We were all forced to use the outdoor shower and get ready for the night outdoors. I typically don’t find it necessary to have a house cleaned midweek on holiday, and although it was a night touch, a simple towel refresh would have been sufficient and appreciated much more than the inconvenience caused. All of that said, we had an amazing week and would visit again!!

The villa is absolutely stunning and more than we hoped for. Inside was fully stocked with welcome food plus excellent cooking utensils/pans etc. there wasn’t a useable kettle at the property however microwave/hob are easy enough to use. Bedrooms are very comfortable and offer exceptional vista. The view can not be beaten it’s amazing- we took binoculars which we used everyday for boats/birds of prey and roaming goats on the hillside. The air con in bedrooms on lower floor, was not as efficient as some previous properties we have rented, however this did not impact the overall experience. We sat outside every evening watching the harbour lights - there was a power cut one evening (common in Elounda) the changing sky and view were magical. The driveway was tricky to navigate with a people carrier as it is quite steep, so we would recommend a smaller car. We would absolutely consider staying at Villa Hestia again, the only request we would make is a more convenient time for cleaning, with young children and cooking 6-8pm sometimes later, did interrupt the evenings x3 times. The pool was clean and a good temperature (slightly colder on windy days!) garden is stunning and sheep next door were a novelty! Adequate shade when needed and plenty of outside seating. Decor and comfort inside and out were excellent. Staff and management were polite, helpful and quick to respond. Thank you for an overall wonderful holiday location, possibly the best villa we have had yet!

Just returned from a very relaxing two weeks at Villa Hestia. The villa is positioned on the hillside with fabulous views across the bay. It is well equipped, clean and comfortable and the welcome pack of basics is a nice touch on arrival. The pool area is large and private with plenty of sun loungers. The drive into town takes about 10 minutes and Elounda is a vibrant village with lots of bars, restaurants and general ammenities. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. Overall a beautiful property in a lovely location.

A week of beautiful weather and relaxation at Villa Hestia, the villa worked perfectly for the five of us, and we absolutely loved the pool area - the views from here and from nearly every room in the villa are simply stunning. Local taverna Mamma Mio (about 15 mins walk away) was a blast, great food and atmosphere. Can't wait to come back!

Five star view with five star outdoor accommodations BUT beware that if you’re driving the house is difficult to get to, very narrow roads up the mountain and the driveway with the large van we had for our five person family was tricky to navigate because of the steep inclines. That aside, we loved the house, spacious bathrooms, large bedrooms, amazing outdoor space and pool and sitting areas and views-wow!! Peaceful, 8 minutes to Elounda center and 14 minutes to plaka. We would go back in a second! Julian is the caretaker and he is responsive, helpful, friendly. We loved our week there and will dream of the views to fuel us all year. A truly enjoyable stay!!!

Lovely villa, in a great location overlooking the bay, with stunning views. Loved the outdoor space. Comfortable and clean. A perfect stay for our family, just wished it was longer. Thank you so very much
