It had every convenience plus a terrific setting. Very comfortable and private. GPS did not work well in the immediate neighborhood. The owners were very pleasant and responsive. Call when you are near and they will meet you and open the gate to get in,

This villa is just Perfect for a vacation To say this upfront... I would recommend this property to anyone ... friend or relative, that would love a perfect getaway. Lilliana, Enzo and their sons were just wonderful to speak with and would do anything to please. The Villa is outside a typical Italian town were you can meander, buy your household food, eat with the locals or go out for a typical Italian dinner. The Villa is on a wonderful secluded road ( with a gate) , on a hill overlooking an enormous grove . You can hear some sounds of civilization, but see no one . You can relax on the enormous patio which surrounds the villa on 3 sides and look out for miles and miles. The inside of the villa is a home-away-from- home. It is warm, cozy and has everything you would need at your fingertips. From this location you can get in your car and go visit all the wonderful historic places within an hour or so- depending on how long you spend gazing at the countryside along the way, and then return home to sit on the veranda with a glass of wind and watch the sunset. When you leave here ... and you really are not going to want to, you will feel that you have just left PARADISE !

We rented both apartments for five nights in June. The setting is private, serene and convenient. The villa is immaculately furnished, stylish and very well maintained. During our stay the outside temperatures were mid 90s F but within the thick stone villa walls it was comfortable. Two nights we prepared our own meals and sat at the large table looking out at the very Tuscan countryside . . . it was perfect. We would certainly highly recommend this property.

This place will always have a special place in our hearts. When we arrived and the host Enzo greeted us. What a nice man. He was so kind and helpful. My kids were so excited to be able to run around. We had such lovely meals outside overlooking the rolling hills and private countryside views. What a treat it was to stay here. Absolutely fabulous. Thank you Enzo and family for giving us the privilege to stay in your home.

The family has done an excellent job restoring this beautiful property. While in the deep countryside, it's just a couple of minutes to a small village with a market and a few restaurants, but it's so easy to access other historically interesting villages, get into Siena, or just relax on the property. The bedrooms are nicely appointed, the bathroom well done, and the kitchen fully equipped including a few actual serious wine glasses to enjoy your local Chianti, and the local Chianti from some well-known producers is excellent. We stayed in the downstairs part of the house but also viewed the upstairs which is beautiful. A great place to come with 10 friends for a restorative time in a special place.

The villa is more than I dreamed it would be. Comfortable, fully applianced kitchen, beautiful scenery and so close to Siena - 10 minutes Italian driver; 20 min. American driver! We were there for 3 Septembers - 2014/15/16 that's how much we liked it. the host family were exceptionally kind and generous. Anyone who spends time there will be the better for it. We loved every minute.

We had the pleasure of staying at Podere Lucignano Secondo for four amazing nights in the middle of a long European Extravaganza. This villa provided us with exactly what we needed before tackling Rome and Naples, peace, quiet and serious relaxation. Words cannot describe how beautiful the property and villa actually are. Whatever you expect from the pictures, it will be better. We enjoyed cooking in the very well equipped kitchen. The grounds and surrounding area were beautiful to explore on foot while the rest of Chianti are right at your doorstep only a short drive away. Easy driving in the area. We used the Coop in Rada and Gaiole for a good grocery selection if you plan to cook. We will be back with a larger group in the future. If you are considering another villa in the area, don't!

My husband and I, along with another couple were extremely happy with our stay at Podere Lucignano Secondo in Chianti, Tuscany. We stayed in La Mangiatoia and were very pleased. This place has so much charm and all of the amenities were there. The owners were very helpful in providing us with a map of places to visit around the area. We enjoyed driving around and immediately fell in love with the area and the property. It was very comfortable and relaxing. The owners take great pride in the property and offer the best customer service we have experienced in a rental property. They are superb! One example, it was raining when we arrived and they met us at the car with umbrellas! The property is everything you could want or ask for. We highyly recommend splurging on one of the dinner options the family provides, it was out of this world wonderful. We hope to make it back again and rent out the entire property. In the meantime we will talk about this wonderful place to our friends in hopes that they will book this property and experience a piece of heaven as we did!
